Okay, the first one is an action/platformer for the NES. All I rememberabout this game is that one of the weapons was a yo-yo and I'm pretty sure the main character was a young boy. There also might've been a part of the game where your in a cave.
I think the second game was on the N64. I remember that it was a 4-player game and it was a hack-and-slash action game. I think you could choose between using a sword or other weapons (there may have even been a wizard or something). And I sort of remember the characters having different colored clothing- purple, yellow, green, and possibly other colors. And I remember playing an arcade version of this game, or an arcade version of a similar game.
I know my descriptions were vague and unspecific, but this is all I remember. I'm sure there are more than 2 games that fit the descriptions, so can you just list any game that might be the ones I'm looking for. Thank you very much.

In the spirit of this thread, I have had a game on my mind for awhile that I cannot identify.
I remember playing it at a friend's house on Genesis. It was a platformer and I think it had something to do with McDonald's. You would collect golden arches and you could play as a kid in a red shirt or a green (I think) shirt. It's been eluding me for about 10 years now and I never could remember the name.
Sorry I can't identify either of your games, OP.

After watching some Youtube videos, I'm about 80% sure that it was either Goonies or Goonies II. Thanks, I didn't think anyboy would come up with anything for the first game with so few clues. :applause:

Thanks, but that's not it. I'm almost positive it was for Genesis.
Edit: I found it! Mick and Mack: Global Gladiators

And the winner of the golden yo-yo award is me! Goonies was a great game, I might have to track that down and play through it again.

Goonies was great, I was always confused though because it was actually Goonies II, I thought it was based on a sequel to the movie but I know they never made one, it was mind boggling for a 7 year old.

Gauntlet Legends was the N64's crappy port of Gauntlet Dark Legacy from the arcade, I believe. My friends and I played the hell out of that in college. Then I finally got a PS2 and played the real Dark Legacy, which was a million times better. Both are fun though.
Goonies 2 was also an excellent game. I was going to guess StarTropics until I read the replies. Oh, well. (StarTropics is probably the better game out of the two but they're both fun.)
