Hmm, I noticed this deal, but I thought most places had it for $59.99 anyways! Damn the new Canadian MSRP.

Yeah, I assumed the msrp was 70 bucks since Futureshop had it for that when I ckecked before posting; on a more positive note, at least the loonie is not as lousy as it was not too long ago.

And I didn't even bother to check R2 since that is old hat. :p

PS. Seems like Amazon deal threads are a bit nonexistant lately.

^^Yeah they really are; I thought that with the absence of the $10 coupon they were going to start offering better deals on their regular prices? Still, $13 off Prototype isn't terrible, although a bit more than I would like to spend on a game with no demo.

Just a heads up. Prototype is also available at all EBs for trade 3 get it free. Not sure if it has to be claimed before the release date or not tho.

I'm wondering the same thing. I kind of hope they ship it on the 16th so there's time for reviews to come out. I'm nervous about the lack of early reviews, usually means a game is bad. I wonder if there's any chance this is just their pre-order price, or would I be able to cancel my order and then re-order at the same price in a few days?

If you cancel it'll be at the price it was when you placed the order. Best bet is just get it and send it back for free if the reviews are bad.

I got mine reserved at eb but I'm not opening it until I hear more about it.

I meant I wonder if it'll keep the $56.99 price point after release, or is this just a pre-order price. Can you really send a game back to Amazon.ca for free? I've never returned something to them.

Yeah all you have to do is print out a waybill and paste it to the package.

As for the price i'm pretty sure it's just A preorder promo.
