The truth is most gamestops will accept returns that go against their return policy if you complain to a manager. I've seen returns done from people who were obviously lying "my brand new game came out of the plastic wrap with those rings on it!" just because they caused a scene. It's easier for a manager to justify a bad return than to get complaints against his store to corporate. Unfortunately this means the loudest and most annoying get their way like they usually do in retail situations.

I remember during christmas I bought myself an xbox 360 bundle from gamestop and after a few days I was getting kind of bored with it. I still had the receipt and called and asked if I could return it and they wouldn't let me return it. I had everything that came with it and the receipt, told them they were more then welcomed to inspect it but they said no. Still worked like the day i got it. (week later)

I ended up selling it on craigslist, i got most of my money back, which was fine i guess.

There return policies are iffy.

I bought something recently, and I could've sworn on the receipt it states, no returns on opened accessories, seems like they just changed it recently....

Uh...how is it "iffy" that they don't let you return used products? Most places don't. If you were selling something new and sealed, would you give someone their money back if they returned it opened?

I'm pretty sure he was just being sarcastic/a smartass and wasn't serious with that story
