Rockband has been the go to holiday experience for my family for about a year or two now. It was originally a christmas gift for my sister in 2007. It was for PS3 which was my fathers console. Even though none of us live there now since my sister graduated in '08 we always play Rockband every time we are home.

I have yet to buy it for my 360 though...if I weren't such a broke college student I would be considering picking it up right now. In fact...I am considering it...maybe I can split some cost with some of my housemates.

At my job the other day I just sold a guy a new PS2 GH: World Tour for the full $179.99 price and now I see it here for half that, my thoughts go out to that man.

This is a great deal but you have to wonder how much of it is driven by the lack of shelf space these stores have left, especially with the Beatles Rock Band due out soon.

Oh man Rock Band has definitely provided me with many fun nights. Everyone should buy it especially at that price. I remember one night me and three of my friends were playing and we were a little bit rowdier than usual. We had just come from a party and my friend's parents were asleep. Luckily his room is pretty far from my parent's room so we didn't have to worry about waking them.

Anyways we decided to try the endless setlist mode even though we all knew none of us would be able to stay up that long. After playing a few songs are guitarist decides he needs to take a leak. The idiot leaves his guitar on and begins walking out the room. We all turn around after hearing a loud thud and see my friend's xbox lying on the ground. Normally this would be acceptable but my friend has a wooden floor.

At this point my friend goes apeshit and starts beating the hell out of our guitarist. We try to pull them apart but I just end up with an elbow to my face. My friend's dad come in and breaks it up then tells us to go home. I thought it was a funny experience even though my cheek was a little swollen. We laughed the whole way to my house. I went inside and my mom got scared she said your movin with your auntie and uncle in bel air. I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything i can say this cab is rare, but i thought naw forget it yo homes to Bel Air. I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 And i yelled to the cab yo homes smell ya later looked at my kingdom I was finally there to sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

Dammit! I literally just bought a new of RB2 drums for almost that same price of the whole new set!! It would've been sweet to have been able to upgrade my guitar as well. I could have even sold the game disc (since I already own that) and the set would have been that much cheaper still!

That is very tempting indeed. I've played RB2 drums at a friend's house and it was pretty much like playing real drums, which meant it's effing awesome. This is finally a price I can afford; now all I need is to find the room for it! That, and the better halve's permission.

Wow, awesome deal. I would like to pick up GH:World Tour sometime. I bought the cymbal add-on for my RB drum kit during the amazon sale to sadly find out it doesn't really make a difference.

I also don't think my wife would appreciate the noise I could make with one of those bundles. We already have 2 noisy dogs. Maybe I'll start playing on low volume and then slowly increase the noise level over time.

I picked up Rockband2 at the TRU deal. Was great then. This is great now.

I had one issue with RB2 - drum crosstalk. Warranty support was quick and easy, though. Just make sure you are checking this stuff IMMEDIATELY! The warranty isn't that long.

That said, this is a tremendous deal if you don't have them. I even considered picking it up for 360 so I could also use the stage kit (I currently have the ps3 version ugh!).

Pretty awesome deals! If you can swing it, I'd recommend getting Guitar Hero 2 for the 360. It's old, don't get me wrong, but theres a classic nostalgic factor to it, and I'll sometimes still pop it in for laffs while I have rock band 2 and GHWT on the shelf.

I already own enough of these but my sister just got an XBox 360 for her 40th Birthday so I called her. She ordered the original Rockband kit for $69.99. It's a steal at that price and my kids can play when she is watching them.
