Yeah, I'm aware of where it's coming from and how long it's taken in the past so I'm not worried or surprised. It's just that quite a few people in this thread have said they noticed a big difference in wait time but it's still pretty much more of the same for me. Although, I think I did get the "shipped" e-mail a few days quicker than I normally would've in the past.

I just find it weird that my Mad Men Season 2 shipped on the 16th and yet my 300 shipped last tuesday the 21st, and i got my 300 on saturday....and yet Mad Men hasn't arrived yet.......is that odd? I mean same place....what would be the hold up?

DD raising prices prior to the sale really killed it for me. I was going to grab Seasons 1-6 of King of the Hill, but they bumped each of them up $5. I just wound up going to Ebay and getting them all for $70 shipped, $20 cheaper than if I would've bought them from DD.

Their sales used to be awesome for me, but now it seems like even with the discount, you can find cheaper prices elsewhere.

BSG came in stock at around 3am central time for about... 5 seconds. Went OOS immediately. I went ahead and ordered it, cause no way I was letting go of a discount as big as that.

They should have more before long.

Same here. Ordered 3 WWE DVDs as well. Nothing pressing, but that cheap, it was hard to pass them up. My wife's birthday is coming up and I was going to get her Wire in the Blood 3 or Bones 2, but they're still too damn expensive even with 25% percent off. What the fuck is up with $60 MSRP domestic DVD box sets? What the fuck, is this 1998 again? Ok, so next gen was $150 (or was it $120?) a season, and I paid that for the first two, but that's beside the point. No new domestic show should be over $20 on DVD, and they ALL should be released on Blu Ray. Period.

Edit: For the record, in a previous one of these sales (maybe last year, maybe 2007, not sure), I ordered the MacGyver complete set as OOS. It never shipped. I finally just had them cancel it about 8 months later. I honestly think it still says pending in my order history. Did the last time I checked, at least. So, basically, don't get your hopes up.

So a few days ago, I crack and order Seasons 6 & 7 of Monk, and the first 2 seasons of Reaper. ($87.41) Somehow I had forgotten about Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series coming out on Blu-ray today. Anyway, I ordered that, too. ($164.92)

That's it- I'm not spending any more money until Brutal Legend comes out in October. Oh, wait....Scribblenauts. God dammit. :headache:

I put in a sizeable order on the Thursday that the sale went live. I got the "shipped" e-mail the following Friday, I believe. I know someone in the same area who put in another sizeable order a few hours after me, got the "shipped" e-mail a day or two after me who already got their shipment on Monday. I was going to call them but may hold out a little bit since I have a few small orders coming in that I placed a few days after my first one. If those come in before the first one, I'm definitely giving them a call, if I haven't already.

The only order I could convince my wife of consisted of the Pirates Blu-Ray trilogy, the X-men Blu-Ray trilogy and Dr.Horrible. The latter two shipped first and arrived securely in a cardboard box. The Pirates set was OOS for a couple days and then shipped out. Unfortunately, it was sent in a bubble mailer (barely big enough to fit the set). Several edges of the outer box were dinged or crushed. Not too happy about that, but not unhappy enough to bitch and whine about it. Just a word of warning about their shipping practices...

I had them resend out my first order. It was the day after the estimated time of arrival and I still didn't get anything. That's what happened to me. If I look in my order history, the end of the date range that they gave for that order was 7/31 and I still didn't get it. I gave them a call on 8/1 and they're going to reship it. Hopefully, it gets to me this time around.

Coincidentally, I know someone in the same area as me who put in an order of roughly the same size and got a shipped notice after me who got their order last Monday. Also, one of the smaller orders I placed after my shipped-on-the-17th order arrived on 8/1. Something definitely got messed up.

Their shipping is not bad, it's just that their free shipping option is USPS Media Mail, it can take a while.

My Blu-ray copies of Mad Men season 2 and Watchmen shipped out last Tuesday, and they arrived here in Seattle yesterday. My copy of BSG 4.5 on Blu-ray shipped on Wednesday, so I'm guessing it will be here sometime this week.

I called them about the Mad Men Season 2 Blu. and they said they shipped it to someone else....was what the error was(pretty odd error at that)they gave me a new order number and shipping free of charge first class, so hopefully it gets here this week. I ordered BSG Complete series blu(and it shipped last wednesday) and heard someone got the dvd set instead....i'd be so pissed if that happen. I also ordered Dollhouse Season 1 so hopefully they come later today.

I called them about my order that I never got, which they placed again on Saturday and they told me it'd be delivered by the 13th. I called them again yesterday on the status and they said it'd be shipped out within 24 hours. Hopefully, it makes it to me this time because someone got a HUGE order of Blu-Rays and DVDs for free last time. :roll:

so now I'm pretty confused.
I got an "item shipped" e-mail the other day, but this morning I noticed that the pending charge on my check card has disappeared. the money is back in my account.
I log into deepdiscount and my order status is listed as "closed", but under details it still says shipped.

Is "closed" just the word they use to mean completed, or should I be calling them?

Yup, once all of your items are shipped, that order is "closed".

My 24 Season 7 set still has not arrived it shipped on Tuesday the 28th the same day as my BSG Season 4.5 set did, and I got my BSG set 4 days ago.

they did that to me as well when they reshipped Mad Men Season 2 (which arrived yesterday) but they credited my order, and then recharged it a few days afterwards.....i thought it was weird, but whatever. Just giving you a heads up perhaps.

Just received my Fast and Furious 3 Blu Ray Disc collection. They also had a coupon in the box saying 50 percent off fun stuff. However when I tried to put some things I wanted it wouldn't allow it can someone tell me what do they mean by fun stuff.

I'm kind of hoping my $150 set will get canceled, so I can get the UK (region free, US identical) set for $170. The packaging is so much better.

Amazon UK. My links never work, so I won't post one. It came out to around $170 shipped for me. I'm referring to the Blu-ray version though, which is region free. IDK about the DVD set.

They removed VAT for me at checkout. So it was 103 p.

I ordered Watchmen and Coraline in Bluray and when i got the little notice after buying that it could take 5-10 business days, i really didnt think it could take 10 business days to get here... Its been 3 weeks since I ordered them, and 9 business days since watchmen shipped and I still havn't received it (or Coraline which shipped 6 business days ago)... does it usually take this long??

Odd situation and wondering what to do about it.

I ordered Mad Men Season 2 Blu ray at the beginning of the sale. It shipped immediately and i never recieved it so come the beginning of August i contacted them. They said they shipped it to the wrong address...So they shipped me another one which i recieved like a week ago from today. Now today..... I get another one.......what do i do with this extra copy? Do i send it back? Keep it, sell it what? Goddamn Odd.
