with best buy's special on how i met your mother for the 3 seasons going for 13 dollars each. i was wondering if its worth picking up. i have seen a couple of episodes and they were pretty decent, nothing compared to scrubs or others, but still watchable. with being on a limited fixed income, is this tv show a must have? or something i could just watch online.

I love this show- the wife and I own all the seasons that are out and it was well worth it.

If you only see an episode or two, you won't really feel the impact of it. You have to watch the entire season, in order. Then, and only then, will it become one of your top five ever.
Adding Slap Bet to your vocabulary is worth the purchase price alone, everything else is a big bonus.

This. Episodes by themselves are okay sometimes, but when watched from beginning, this show is amazing. Many, many jokes in current episodes arc all the way back to things that happened in Season 1. It's fantastic, and it really makes it seem like these are stories in this guy's life versus it just being a TV show.

I don't have that much of a problem with this show, but how it got past 2 or 3 seasons is beyond me. A tv show has to be REALLY REALLY good for me to want to actually BUY it.
So far Coupling has been it.

Get the seasons for $39 no tax and free shipping from Amazon, or get them from BB but that's the cheapest they've ever been that I'm aware of.
