Rogers Video has Eternal Sonata for the PS3 for $29.99

Some stores still have it listed for $59.99, but they will ring up as $29.99

Checked stores in BC, not sure if it's applied Canada wide

I'll have to look around to see if any of my local RV's have it (don't think I've ever been in one), I know hmv.ca has Eternal Sonata (PS3) listed for $29.99 as well, but none of the ones in my area have it.

I highly recommend ES for $30. It's a superb RPG and I enjoyed it greatly.

Eternal Sonata gets too much hate. It's a fun little game for $20 or $30. Just don't fight everything you see or you'll be sooo extremely overlevelled it's not even funny. Tales of Vesperia is a far better game if you have a 360 and it's the same price, but if you only own a PS3 or already played Vesperia pick this up =) I think of it as Tales Lite.

Eternal Sonata is a much more deep and clever game than people give it credit for. That or they just don't understand the game as well as they think they do. Definitely a steal for 30 dollars. Especially the PS3 version, one of the dungeons that's only that version is just phenomenal.

This is an amazing game. I picked this up via goomba service when Amazon.com had it for 29.99 US. I finished the game with one play through, and was struggling in the beginning with its unique battle system. It is very rare to find RPG that uses blocking system to maximize game play experience, grinding is not essential because of this. With the choice of New Game +, this game offers at least one replay value, on top of that, first play through will take at least 20+ hours!

Like pyrox4 said, the story is deep and cleaver, with amazing audio, both background music and voice act.

Since PS3 lacks JRPG, this game definitely stands out in the genre, highly recommended, especially with additional cut scenes / dungeons / and items on top of the original XBOX 360 release.

I am definitely looking forward for Tales of Versperia on PS3 :)

I wanted to get this but I am waiting for the price to drop to around the $20 range. I can wait since I have so many other games waiting to be played; Fallout 3, Val Chron, Resistance 2, DMC4 and for PS2 FF x, x-2, and Persona 3

A great game. I fell in love with it so much I did the very un-CAG thing of picking it up for $45!

Story takes itself pretty seriously but it's a fun romp. As you progress through the game, the combat becomes simultaneously more frentic and more nuanced.

Eternal Sonata is a wierd example of how one issue can make or break a game for people: It's a great game with absolutely horrendous pacing. It's possibly the worst paced game ever made. Other than that, it's fine.

I enjoyed this game so much until I beat it. but RPGS like this are best suited to having epic 50+ hour storylines. The ending was so rushed and anticlimatic it made me hate the game.

SO true. It's the only game I can think of where they put restrictions on characters as they leveled up, and even then it was really easy.

Wow, I've never actually seen the PS3 version around anywhere unfortunately. I'd probably double dip for 30 bucks if I could find it.

Got lucky and found it buried at the back. So, confirmed in Ontario anyway.
