Man I hope it doesn't turn into another Samba situation. I dont have the time nor the money to invest in it. Especially time. Not for a few months at least. Hopefully Nintendo continues to make the bongos for quite some time :)

Yup, ordered at GameRush about a month ago.

I felt like a complete idiot trying this game at a gamestore. A grown up man padding bongos and clapping is quite an embarassing thing. I had to order it so I could do it in the privacy of my own home.

It's just another thing my wife will kick my ass at, like air hockey.

I was thinking about preordering it, but I got SMT3, Deception, Growlanser and some others too. I mean too much preorders for me. But I don't think I would be getting it.. though the deal of the bongos AND game= 50.00 that's good.. maybe another time.

It looks cool, but the I've heard that its only fun with multiplayer, and I don't ahve the money to buy the game and extra congos. I'll wait till I can pick it up cheap.

I've got it pre-ordered, but my EB didn't have it in-stock today. I'll probably get it tomorrow, and I'll see about a review of it in a week or so, since I almost definately won't be getting extra Bongos.

GOT IT TODAY !!

Great fun, but nobody has any extra bongos yet. All the songs are covers (nost original artists) but they are very well done. Single player is still really fun right now, but I can't wait for some battling bongo action!

Haha! I got it last night too and it's tons of fun! The wife looks at me funny when I bring it in and then after she sees me play for a minute she says, "Let me try it." She takes over and goes nuts! I thought she was going to damage my precious bongos :lol: Needless to say, the second set of bongos is on order so we can get our freak on properly! :rofl:

I'm hoping to get the exact same reaction from my wife. She didn't seem to excited when I read her a review. I opted to only buy one set of Bongo's hoping that the game would be so appealing that she would insist on the purchase of a second pair. :D Hopefully the game will arrive in time for the weekend. :D

Got it last night, and went through all 33 songs at once in Challenge Mode. Needless to say, I did extremely well, and needless to say, when I tried it on the medium skill level I did pretty well. And needless to say, when I tried a single song on Gorilla, I got my ass kicked. But it will pay dearly for the death of my pride. Oh yes.

I pre-ordered it through the gamerush preorder deal, but I still haven't picked it up. My copy of Def Jam took until Friday to come in, so I will try and pick this up Friday. Looking forward to trying it out, and I still maintain my cheapassness by getting the deal through gamerush.

So i got one today.....

Fun game... namco did a nice variation on Taiko....
but its a little corny... fun nonetheless....

my only problem is with Nintendo's marketing strategy on this one.... they should have taken note from the pokemon strategy....

$50 for a game and bongos....

$35 for a spare set of bongos.....

if they were smart.... they'd have released TWO $50 game/bongo sets with one version being the second song roster disc already in japan.....

that way... more people would be more willing to buy a second set of bongos... knowing they could get a new discfull of stuff with it....

then they could release jungle beat at $20....
making it easier for the install base of bongo owners to buy another game for it....

am i right? or am i ranting?

I think I am going to wait on TRU's Buy 2 get 1 free deal to get my second set of bongos. Jungle Beat should be out by then, as will Pikmin 2 and Paper Mario. :D

Thanks. I like to think of myself as really good. In everything. Well, except games that involve, you know, running around, and throwing stuff. Hell, I can't even do the bowling in Monkey Ball, let alone do it for real. But, I picked this one up fairly quickly, since I'm getting actual drums.... today.... I hope. I seriously would not reccomend going straight into Challenge (all the songs at once), it seriously burned me up. I was just about ready to call it quits and go to be once I hit 15 songs, but I was saved by a stroke of courage and power, and I just counted down the songs. I was a little pissed, though, since you don't get any coins to buy stuff in challenge mode, it's just what it says it is: A challenge.

Just got my game. I was a little pissed that one side of the box had been crushed inward but the contents were intact and undamaged.

I have to say, this game is rediculously entertaining. As expected, my wife thought it looked cool but didn't jump in and play until one of her friends who came over for dinner started getting down. We all took turns on the single pair of drums I have and we enjoyed every minute of it. I'm off to buy another pair at Best Buy tomorrow. Can't beat $25 after GGC.

I pre-ordered it twice (FYE and MediaPlay websites) and both got cancelled :( Now I'm waiting for FYE in store to get it in stock so I can use my trade in credit for it.
