Looking at the ad the $29.99 is specifically over the Guitar Hero Metallica Wii box (and says $20 off).

There are other games in the 'divided' section of the ad, so hopefully that is for all games. If so I'm headed to BB for a pricematch on Infamous.

I'm going to call my Meijer's during lunch to confirm the price is for all of the games -- unless someone else can confirm it worked?


Update Edit: I called my local Meijer, it is ringing up $59.99. I'm pretty sure the $29.99 is only for Guitar Hero Metallica for that ad space. The layout in the ad is a bit misleading, but there ya go.

I just did the same thing. Best bet is to use their site to create and print an in-store shopping list which shows the $29.99 prices. Also, the ad shows you get a $10 coupon when you buy 2 games that are $29.99 or more each.

If I had a Meijer, I would do this in a heartbeat.

Honestly, in the ad, it doesn't look like they are $29.99 each, so matching at BB might be tough. It is only when you drill down further on the flash version of the ad that it becomes clear that they are $29.99 each.

It may be a server caching issue. It did that to me at first, but I managed to get them on my shopping list for IL (Urbana, specifically, is the one I tried, not sure where you are). Try changing your store back to the local one, and adding it again.

Edit: And, if my advice helps anyone, feel free to repay me by selling me an Infamous at cost + shipping. ;) Keep the coupon for yourself.

I was on hold for a very long time when I called, wonder if I was auto dumped to someone not directly from that store who just looked online instead of ringing it up. Very annoying if so as I missed out on running over during lunch.

Stopped by a location on my lunch; also rang up as $59.99. I had printed the shopping list from the website (with this location specifically listed), but stupid me, I forgot to bring it with me. The CSR just said that $29.99 price only applied to Guitar Hero Metallica for Wii, and wouldn't budge.

I may stop by again on my way home. The price is definitely showing up as $29.99 for this store on the website.

Adblock in Firefox blocks the view ad links on that list. Just disable it and you'll see it.

I got shot down in the Canton store. The manager went to the site herself and pulled the normally listing for the game and won't budge on checking the ad on the site. I might try the Westland and Livonia stores but so far this seems fairly YMMV.

I went back to the same store, and the (different) CSR in electronics was very helpful, but understandably cautious. He had to get through 2 layers of management, then a 3rd guy had to come over & do the override. Got my coupon (not valid til 6/25) and let him keep the printout as documentation. The printout from the website was key-- I'm sure I would have been denied again without it.

The 2nd location I stopped on my way home was a little more along the lines of pulling teeth. I was brought up to the front Customer Service area, where no fewer than 5 people were brought in to figure out what the hell to do. The woman in charge kept wanting to call it a "web-only special" even though it said "in store only" on the print-out I handed her. I finally had to show her where to look for herself on their website to seal the deal. Took forever, and of course I had my 1-year old son with me, who was not happy to be there. Missed out on my $10 coupon because the register up front didn't have the coupon printer; at that point, I just wanted to get out of there so I let it go.

It took 45 minutes and 2 managers but eventually the Hamburg store in Lexington would honor the price on Infamous.

The manager stapled my print out and the ad together, circled the ad and the price, and left it behind the counter of the electronics dept.

So hopefully that will help the next CAGer who tries to pick up the game.

Nowhere on the ad does it say the titles shown are $29.99, thing is whoever their web person is decided the ad read at 29.99 a title.

If the ad was wrong, why would they have the games with the additional sales material? I also got absolutely no kickback from the manager who had to override it for me. Confirmed. Was able to snag GoW 2 for $29.99 at the Merrillville, IN location today.

Believe it or not, a customer came in just minutes before with the printup from the website showing the four titles as $29.99. Just needed manager approval and I was in and out quickly. Which brings me to the following:

IF YOU PLAN TO TAKE PART IN THIS DEAL, GO TO THE WEBSITE AND PRINT OUT THE PAGE WITH THE GAMES LISTED AS $29.99.

Hate to use the bold shouting mechanic there, but this will more than likely save you both the time and the frustations of having someone take their time in confirming anything. The page clearly states the $29.99 price is in-store only, which theoretically should squash any online-only argument you might run into.

Good luck, CAGers. This is an epic deal, in my opinion.

I got a copy at $29.99 at the Fairfield, Oh store. Took about 30 minutes of hassle. It rang up at $59.99 so they called the manager and he came over and tried to tell me it was a web only special. I showed him my print out from the website as well as the web page on my phone. He still didn't seem convinced so he asked me to come behind the counter and he tried to pull the add up on the store computer. Unfortunately it was an older version of internet explorer without flash installed and the stores wouldn't show up. After him clicking the go button for 10 minutes he got frustrated and gave up and just gave me the price lol. My friend also had success at the Eastgate, OH store but he had to threaten to call corporate number while standing there. Good luck fellow CAGers.

same here, I checked out a bunch of IL zip coded stores for the ad online, and none of them had that ad, let alone that deal in it...just some other junk showed up....I was tempted to print out the MI one that does have inFAMOUS in it for $30 but it would have printed out the location and if I trim that part off it looks way too iffy, so I think I'll skip trying this one, it seems like too much of a longshot when I look at the "print cart" screen that would show up...seems this "deal" is regional....

Meijer in Utica, MI (Hall/Hayes) sold InFAMOUS to me for $29.99. Took about 10 extra minutes as the electronics worker had to call the manager. The manager approved without hesitation though I did print out the online ad that shows those specific games at $29.99.

As those above posted...highly recommend you bring the printout.

BTW, yeah...the game is pretty damn good so far.
Now if we can just find a place selling Ghostbusters PS3 for $29.99.

I'm gonna go to both Meijers near me tomorrow with printouts with both stores' addresses on them. I feel like with this as proof they can't deny to sell me Infamous at that price. Hell I'll even circle it for them as well as their store's address. It's worth hassling them for a few minutes to override the price if it means I save $30. I just got this deal, thanks for the post. However, I had to haggle with customer service for about half an hour and pull up the online add. They interpret the add as "Buy 2 games $29.99 and UP and get a $10 gift card". Guitar Hero: Metallica rings up as $29.99 (even though the sticker says $59.99), but Infamous rang up as $59.99. The add in print does not price Infamous, which leads me to believe that the online add is a misprint. Hurry and haggle before they change it!

the Meijer by the Dayton Mall is the location that I got mine from (where it's clearly labled in the rack as $29.99). I'd grab some for some cags, but I don't know when I'll be able to make it over there again. Look online at the add and click on the games - it will present an option to see games and prices - all games are full price except GH Wii.

I went to the meijers in Lexington, KY near the mall at first and they didn't have any Infamous, but they told me that it was $60 regardless. Then I went to the nearby Wal-mart, and they price matched it. I really think this is your best bet if you want to get InFamous or Gears2 for $40. The initial cashier said no, but he took it to his supervisor just to double check and they said that they would go on ahead and do it for me.
