Pretty good deal. I've got it from Gamefly and am having a blast with it. Once you learn that you can't go in Rambo style and have to play it guerrilla style (like the title implies), it becomes much more fun and rewarding.

Guys i love this game, and kotaku and xplay gave it great reviews. Its alot like crackdown in the game play feel. But the only bad thing is the npcs get in your way and you get tired of the martian landscape just like getting depressed playing fallout 3. But it is an awesome game and should be bought by everyone sooner or later.

I don't understand the glowing reviews for this game. I played the demo on XBL. I thought it was horrible. Was I missing something?I initially played the multiplayer demo first. It was sorta fun, but nothing that I was going to go out and drop $60 on.

I then downloaded the single player demo, and after playing all the way through it, I said holy fuck, I have to get this. I proceeded to replay the demo multiple times over , destroying all that I could manage.

I unfortunately pulled the trigger late last week and ordered from spun.com for $58. But, I traded off a handful of games I had no use for, so it was probably better than shelling out $40 for me right now.

Still, great price,and I am still impatiently waiting on my copy.

Looks like I am going to get Prince of Persia, Red Faction, and Prototype all in the mail tomorrow from different sources. Hello, instant backlog fodder.

I am an extremely jaded gamer who's been doing this for longer than I'm comfortable admitting. It's rare for me to play something obsessively to completion unless I force myself to do so. RF:G is the first game in a long time where I never felt like I was just going through the motions. Ever. RF:G is the first game in a long time that didn't leave my XBox until I finished it, and may not leave my XBox for awhile longer if I try out multiplayer. It's one of those games I'm genuinely sad to be done with, despite how amusing turning on cheats and chasing down the last collectibles (while getting into hilarity) can be. I really, desperately hope there is single-player DLC for this game.

If that isn't a good enough recommendation, I bought it day one with some shitty trade 3 get +$10 credit PSP games at Gamestop. I actually set foot in a Gamestop for this game. If that's not enough to convince you, I don't know what is.

EDIT: As for the demo, I was wary at first too until I played it a couple more times and tried to go about things differently. To play the game as a game instead of an objective grind. That's when you notice how deep the mechanics are and how much flexibility they give you. In the full game, you very rarely have access to walkers like that. Really the demo is rather bad if you rush right to the walker as all it becomes is blurry shakycam as you stomp through buildings with no real challenge or interest. The game is nothing like this outside of the truly catastrophic fights.

Try seeing how much of the base you can destroy before you die using anything you can think of EXCEPT the walker and you'll get a much better feel for how the game actually plays, though you will be missing out on the coolest weapons at that point.
