iPod problems...

so I tried to sync my iPod yesterday after fine-tuning my iTunes library, and basically, it gets through about 2,000 of the 10,000 songs I have, and just fails... either asking me to restore the machine to it's original setting, or starting over the sync... shows that about 70 mp3s during the priginal sync actually show up as on the iPod...

This started a while ago, but after it would fail, I would re-plug in the iPod and it would start from where it left off... after about 5 re-tries, the iPod would be fully synced...

Has anyone had this problem before?? I would just go buy a touch, cause I want one anyway... but I need at least 60 gigs and they don't have one that large yet and I need this or I'm dead at the gym...

Any advice form anyone? thanks ahead of time.

have you tried restoring your ipod?

Why would you need 60 gigs of music for the gym? I just have a playlist of songs I want to workout to.

because I don't want to be bothered with making a playlist everyday, it's a pain in the ass.

I restored it like 5 times... I dunno, seems almost broken.
