He will trade in his old regular GBA not the GBA SP. I never liked the GBA, and luckily when it first came out I bought it target, kept it for a couple of months and then returned it cause it was really bad without the backlight....

Yes. They are that much better...as long as you like the "feel" of it. To me its just as comfortable in the hand, so that didnt matter to me. The rechargeable battery is a god-send and has saved me a ton of money...or at least left my rechargeable batteries for my camera.

The light makes a world of difference. I doubled my GBA gaming time, mainly because i could see the screen with NO problems, and NO glare.

If you are planning on picking a up a DS later this year, i would probably suggest waiting, just remember that the DS will NOT play GB and GBC games.

I found the SP to be much more comfortable than the original. In fact, and this could just be me, but the non SP shoulder buttons were just about impossible for me to use comfortably. I had a hell of a time playing Metroid Fusion and Mega Man Zero on that fucker, which is why I grabbed an SP as soon as they hit the shelves.

Strange thing on a price seatch BB online had it showing up as $49.99 so I clicked on it thinking "OH YES! I'll get mine then pass the deal on" well when the page loaded it was Madden 2005 for the GC :shock: huh? wha? Amazon does that all the time on price searches. They'll list the lowes price. Then really it's used or new from one of their "third world" sellers.

By the way, not only didn't my order go through, but now I lost the $5 gift card I used on the purchase. I sent them an email that was polite but clear that I was disgruntled over the cancellation and I expect a five dollar goft card to replace the one I lost.

Update: I got a response to the email I sent K-Mart this afternon. It was polite but firm in expressing my disatifaction with K-mart.com. Well, I guess that their customer service dept didn;t want to touch it with a ten foot pole. Their response...

Well, I just called and they're going to replace my gift card. The customer service rep was very apologetic on the phone. Thoguth I didn't get any bonus for my troubles.

According to him they had such limited quantities that the GBA was probably pulled before they got to my order. They could have had just one or two sitting on the shelves. So only a couple people might have got in on this.
