I think I have a small problem with my Star Wars DVDs and I didnt think it was worth making a new topic just for my problem, but for everyone elses.
So my question is: on A New Hope DVD, when you are watching the dvd movie, and want to see the subtitles, and you pick it through your remote control, does it show the subs right away or does it show say the name of different sub languages. I have to go through two or three different subs before I get to the english one that works. Its not exactly a big deal, but I just want to know if that is just my dvd. And I'm sorry if there is another topic about this, but I didnt find one.

Why so you have subtitles on? Some dvds have multiple subtitle tracks, so it may take a few clicks to get it to work.

Some players "lag" while switching subs or angles. My set is fun, otherwise.

Playable demo. Put the disc in an Xbox to play it.

Each subtitle track is assigned a number. Normally the english one is track 1. So when I click on subtitles on the star wars dvd, it starts on track 3. There are 5 tracks I can pick from when I use the subtitles button. The only one that works is track 1, but it can chose 5. And on the dvd cover, it only has an option for english subtitles. So my question is that is eveyone elses dvd with 5 tracks that dont work except the first one?

I have the same exact problem. It might be the player but I'm not sure.
Bigger problem I had is that my ROTJ was completely defective. At the start of the "speeder chase" the video goes completely pixelated and screwy, stops my dvd player in it's tracks, and won't play. I sent it back to Amazon.com saying it was defective, and amazingly, they sent a new set no questions asked 2 day air!!!

If we both are having the same problem, then it could be eveyones. I tried it on my dvd player and ps2 with the same result.

Mine stops "A New Hope" halfway through (after Chewbacca and R2D2 are playing chess, and Alderaan blows up). I dunno, I'ma go see if it works tonight, if not I'm going to mail it back to amazon.

Playable demo. Put the disc in an Xbox to play it.
And then walk away from your TV, grab some fabric, needle, and thread, and proceed to create the largest quilt ever made. The demo is BORING. Very, very boring.

There has been a lot of people complaining about problems with these dvds. I wanted to get them but I don't want to waste my money if they don't work correctly.

My New Hope shaq-fus up right before they go to Yavin 4. If I pick scene selection to that scene, it doesn't shaq-fu up, but if I play the movie normally it does.
