Thats my point, at the time of the Bagwell or Schilling deals, people weren't wondering what the hell they were doing, they weren't considered awful trades at the time like the Kazmir trade was. They signed Kaz Matsui and refused to trade Jose Reyes when they could have gotten a mint for him, then they trade Kazmir for nothing? Wow. Kazmir is the kind of player you never, ever, ever trade. I hope Pinella isn't too rough on him. Tampa Bay could be a serious contender in 2 years with their young talent.

I like Epstein because he has balls not many GMs would have pulled off the Nomar trade. Nomar in my opinion was damaged goods besides his heel problem I don't think his fore arm ever healed because he hasn't been the same since. Plus we had plenty of offense we needed to shore up the D and even though the 1B we got hasn't been hitting that bases laoded double play he turned a while back saved us a game. Plus I really like Orlando he plays with a lot of passion and saves a lot of runs with his glove and although he cant hit like Nomar he has decent pop in his bat

What i hope is this is what happened. They got a major shipment in from stores that couldnt sell these games so they sent them all to overstock. Overstock had no use for them and decided to dump them on the market for 2,00 each. THe prices of the games are now back to normal cause the huge amount of games they got back from the stores are now gone so the prices are back to normal. HOpe that was it

yea but got to remember pawn shops sell box sets for 18-20 bucks figure what they pay for them. They have very limited shelf space so maybe Just maybe overstock go major returns and had no place to store them. It sucks having to think that, should these orders not get cancelled, there's a larger number of people who didn't get in on it, and a small number of people are going to cash in on that. And those people are going to go to the trade forum and fleece a people left and right, or go to eBay and make money there.

It sucks to think that, especially when I've done things for people like buying them games and sending them to them for the price they are being sold at, instead of gouging someone down the road.

CAG and the subsequent deals we hear about might smack of "right time right place" mentality, but that doesn't make up for the fact that people just get so damn greedy and then try to rip off the same people they supposedly want to help get the best deals. Don't go and buy a damn game for 5 bucks and then sell it for 10 and pretend that you're not being a dick in the entire ordeal.

So the really good deals or items I want are completely buried under topics from people looking to shill out thier $5 primals, rygars, amplitudes or whatever else they got.

I don't know for sure, but I thought everything went through fine. At first I tried to use Paypal on one of my orders, but then I know I just used my Mastercard on all the others.

Maybe I accidently had the Paypal button checked, but I'm almost certain that I didn't. Oh well, I really didn't need to movies that bad anyway.

After you choose to pay with Paypal it looks like you are done. You get the confirmation screen and it says your order has been accepted. But what you actually have to do it click the Pay Now link and go to your Paypal account directly from Overstock. They don't take it out automatically, you have to do it. I think that might have been where you got mixed up.

I still think it's a crappy thing to do; taking awesome games for cheap that others would greatly enjoy that you don't even plan on playing. There are a ton of bargain bin games you can buy for trade-in at EB or GameRush or whatnot. And Buying awesome games for $2 and trading them on here when you know people will value them at $15, $20 or higher is just like buying a bunch for $2 each and them selling them on here for an inflated price. That said, again, I'm not saying that trading from good deals is bad. But when there is a very limited quantity of great games that you have no use for (other than over-charging some poor soul who made the sin of not being on the site at the same time as you) and you take them, knowing you won't enjoy them - or worse, even open them - I think that is wrong.

But, those of you who got in on a legitimately good deal who aren't just trying to screw fellow CAGs, Great job. Keep up the cheapness!

None of my game orders shipped. Of my 2 DVD orders, only School of Rock shipped from one of the orders (I ordered 4 other DVD's in that order). Very strange but I'm just glad at least something is shipping

One thing bugging me about this thread is how those who missed out on the deals are practically PRAYING that it gets cancelled, to screw over those who did get in before everything vanished. That, to me, is just as bad as hoarding -- if not moreso because it's blatantly malicious.

Where's the sense of community that I love so much about CAG? Can't we all just get along?

I'm not praying for deals to get cancelled, that's the last thing I'd want on any fellow CAGer, I'm just expecting that Overstock will say this was a pricing mistake and have it all disappear.

I ended up with 3 orders. I sent my first because stuff like Wario Ware and SSX3 disappeared from my cart and I didn't want to miss out on Amplitude (oh the irony, it was the last one to sell out).
My second order was the remaining games I was interested in.
The third order is DVDs.
