Was hoping it would eventually go DOTD for $19.99, like every other DS RPG does.

No deal here... this one will be $19.99 or cheaper everywhere in due time anyways, and I've got enough DS RPG's to play from DOTD's or natural price drops that I can wait this one out.

Between the ECA and Gold Box I got it for $21, which is fine by me. I guess it will be $20 in a little while but prices I've seen have been consistently around $30.

This is a great game. Loved the story and characters. Voice acting was pretty bad though and the constant random battles at times can be annoying. Overall, this game is worth it at this price, but I bought it at full price and no complaints from me. I put in over 40 hours into the game.

This game was almost ridiculously easy for any RPG veteran. Still a fantastic game though, one of the best RPGs on the DS. I agree that it will eventually be 20, but it's well worth picking up.

Nice to see Amazon have a good title in the DOTD. But as others said, the price point needs to be lower for this title to make it a must have. $20 + ECA would have done it for me.

I regretted purchasing this game at full price when it was first released. Battles were too easy (I never even came close to losing) and the characters were pretty childish. You can usually skip through the horrid voice acting, so that wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I still quit after about 5 hours of play. Maybe I stopped too soon because I hear the game does get better after a slow start.

Not even close to the 100hr mark. Maybe 40 hrs tops. Getting all 108 stars was actually pretty easy in this one.

Am I the only one that hated this game?
I thought it was horrible.
The easy difficulty didn't bother me, but the limited battle system and the midget characters model were a major turn off.

No you're not. There's a good thread on this game in the ds forum and some hated, some liked.

I was enjoying it well enough until a number of the missions were high random encounters, for little xp (or none), and in dungeons with dead-ends and no map. I spent a lot of time just trying to get back to the castle because there's no 'emergency exit' spells or items. Sort of killed my momentum.

Still a decent game and a decent deal with no tax.

As a rather huge Suikoden fan (Dude, I pre-ordered Suikoden Tactics! Hell, I'd buy a PS3 if they had a exclusive Suikoden game.) I pre-ordered this as soon as it was available on Amazon. I'm not going to lie to you: I haven't played this game for more then three hours due to other games taking my attention which basically means this game wasn't great. Good? Perhaps, but the voice acting was downright horrible and the difficulty made Suikoden 2 look hard (and that game was pretty easy for me) so thats two strikes against it. The nice? Graphics, and I liked the "cute" style, though the anime/cartoon style looked kinda "meh" for the characters.

I would personally wait for $15 or less unless of course you love Suikoden.

I bought it new played for five hours stopped playing then picked it up just to finish it and the game got really good after awhile. I think its a good deal at that cost if you like Suikoden games though its like V where it doesn't get that good for awhile

Can someone tell me when Amazon had a deal of the day on Chrono Trigger? I try and check their dotd regularly and so I wonder how I could've missed a deal I was looking forward to.
