So with the release earlier this year of Shadow Assassins , and the regaining of the series by Acquire , their's something I've been wondering about.

Does the newest game reboot the series and give it a fresh start?
Does it continue on the "story" from the previous games?
If it does continue the story , does it retcon any of the games that weren't done by Acquire?

The main reason I'm asking is because I'm really anal about things such as keeping continuity in games , or keeping a series to the ones that originally made the series/made the series good. Since there have been a lot of games in the Tenchu series since Acquire stopped making them , I was wondering whether they still mattered to the series or not.

I remember an EGM interview with a producer for the game(it was in their last issue under ZD). All those questions were brought up, so here's the answers.

1) No
2) It continues the story after Tenchu 3
3) They didn't mention details, but said that parts of the stories from the games From Software developed would get a mention in Shadow Assassins.
