Did she hit enter to finalize your total because thats when the screen pops out to give you a free game.

Is this busted now? Can anyone confirm?
I went all the way through the transaction and I only called it off when it got to the point where I would literally hand over the money. No idea if tis dead or if I just had some bad luck. But even if the glitch was dead, it should have still made the cheapest game free, which it didnt.

Are you sure she hit the final button she needs to hit to give you the total? When I went the cashier told me my total was $90something for me to swipe my card or give her cash, and thats what it showed on the Credit Card thing, but then she hit a key and it gave me the 3rd game free.

I thought someone above confirmed they got the GH Modern Hits for free.

Glitch still working as of about noon today in Quincy, IL. Paid for Touchmaster I and II, and got Professor Layton free.

Didn't get the glitch. Cashier must have been wise and put them in price order. Got Devil Survivor , Knights in the Nightmare, and Dragon Quest V for $42 after sale and reward zone certificates. Gonna bring back DQ tomorrow and pick up something else for $29.

Wonder if I can get a PM on Valkyrie Profile.

Here are three ways to insure that you get the most expensive price free.

1. Give them in cheapest to highest price order. Cons: She might flip them over and scan them in the wrong way.

2. Give her the cheapest games first, and pretend to read the back of the game case while she scans the first 2, then hand her the last game. Cons: She might wait for you to give her the last game before she scans which will make you look retarded if you take forever with the "pretend reading"

3. Take four games, give her the cheapest first, and then pretend to debate which one you want last while she rings up the first two. You can pretend to yourself, or pretend to call someone and then ask them which game they want more because they can't have both. Cons: Same as #2

Tomorrow (saturday) is the last day to take advantage of this glitch. I just scored:

River King -- $10
Prince of Persia -- $10
Dragon Quest V --- Free

Total ---- $21.53

I always go to customer service because they have the ability to change "clearance/manager specials" themselves and a regular cashier does not. So if you are going for this type of deal, tomorrow is your last chance. Hope this helps people.

I called my local Toys R Us and they didn't have the $10 gift card promotion with the purchase of The Conduit. It wasn't online either. Has anyone seen this promotion in any ads or online, other than here?

If I had a choice between a dude and the always cute Bestbuy cashier chicks, i'm going for the chicks. 1. They probably won't play games much/buy them so they have no idea how much a game should be unlike guy cashiers. 2. You can always get them talking and distract them from the screen/price.

Well, in my experience. Only time I ever got rejected / looked at suspeciously on a deal was with a dude, so thats why I stay away from them.

True, Yeah When I bought my games there was this very cute cashier we talked for a bit. She got a little distracted and then we parted ways. I was lucky cause as soon as my order was done she went on break, and it was some dude taking her place.

What would Best Buy's policy be on exchanging a paid-for game if it was part of this deal, now that the deal is over? Could I trade it for store credit without having to return the other paid game and the free game too? Or for DS games equal in value to the one I want to exchange without returning the other two?
