Hmmm... Very tempting... Sadly, I think I'm going to have to hold back for now. All funds are being frozen until the TRU BOGO sale.

Same here, although that flight stick looks sweet. I wonder how much it costs by itself? It looks well built and very expensive! Also it would have to work with other flight games to justify purchase...

yeah that flight stick looks way awesome, but with so many games already coming out this year I can't afford it...yet alone think I will have time to play it to get my 130 dollars out of it.

It looks like the stick is just a rebranded Saitek X45 (http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/x45.htm), but I don't know if any other mods have been made to it to support the PS2. I bought my Saitek from CompUSA a few months ago for $80. I don't see a similar model for the PS2 on their site.

If it isn't supported by any other PS2 flight-sim it should at least work on the PC as a normal joystick so you could use it with any game/sim you may already have for the PC.

How do you like the Saitek (assuming that it is the same model)?

I'm pretty sure it's the same flight stick, only the Saitek is only for PCs I thought. I wonder if AC 5 will support PC flight sticks with USB?

does the stick have force feedback?

Isn't it just in time for the TRU BOGO Sale? TRU please have Growlanser Deluxe and this AC5 Bundle, oh and a couple of Donkey Konga's would be good too. Thanks, TRU

Well I dunno if "a couple" Donkey Kongas won't work cuz I think it's B2G1, but otherwise yeah that's an awesome plan.

No luck on a TRU deal folks, check this out:

"The bundle will be sold exclusively at Electronics Boutique and GameStop retail outlets."

This obviously applies to their online stores as well, but that’s about it.

I've been neglecting my flight sims lately, so I'm going from memory but I want to say my only problem with it has been that the throttle unit tended to tip when trying to push it all the way forward.

I think it was well worth the $80 I paid for it.

It does not have force feedback. This could change with the one that is included in the bundle though.

I'm assuming that is what they have done, but for all I know they could have added an adaptor to the cable or in the base so it connects to the PS2 as a controller. It would be great if it was the former though, I don't really have the space or cash to have two of these things sitting around.

I played the demo too and it was nice. Although, I this game is just screaming for an online mode. Imagine dogfighting online with 16 other people. That would be awesome. Also an ability to form your own squadron (clan) would have been amazing.

I just got the demo from OPM wanted to let everyone else know my findings with using Saitek controller.

No success :(

So that leaves us with two reasons:
The Saitek X45 (PC) isn't compatible with the PS2, although it does light up
The demo doesn't have the code needed to use the controller
Both are plausible explanations but I'm holding out that they just didn't include that code in the demo to save some space on the disc.

That said I did have a hard time getting any of the demos to work, thrice I tried to load a demo only for it to show a black screen for 5+ minutes. The demos seem to be working fine now though.

Once this game comes out I'll rent it so I can check whether the controller works with it then.

I'd love to buy that, but now's not the time - I can get like 3 new games for $130. Maybe after the holiday season if it's still around I'll grab it. Pretty friggin' cool equipment though.
