Are you implying that this television show prefers to have sex with other television shows of the same gender?

I'm a fan of Patrick Warburton, so I'll watch it. Comes on at 11PM here...funky UPN affiliate situation.

Am I the only one who still misses "The Tick?" It may have been odd, but it sure was funny...
Don't get me started on "Greg the Bunny" either. FOX sucks - they cancel decent show for crap like "American Idol." I'll just leave it at that...

The Tick is one of my favorites. Glad they released it so quick on DVD. And...I can't say enough about Greg The Bunny...
Of course, I also loved Andy Richter Controls The Universe...but that's just me.

I liked the Maxx, but does anyone remember that gameshow on one of the crappy channels like TBS, or something that had kids play videogames and then the finalist got to run through a room filled with games and systems and fill up a shopping cart ? This was during the nes days, maybe early snes
Andy Richter was good

The only show I remember that let you win video games was Video Power. It used to be a cartoon show with BigFoot, Kwirk, Generic Cop from NARC, and the Warrior from Wizards and Warriors. The bumpers for the cartoon would give out codes and tips for different games. The host was Johnny Power or something like that. Then they made it into a gameshow.

What about that gameshow where at the end you go to run through this obstacle course with NES games on the walls and you had this velcro suit on and you tried to stick all these games to you. It was funny because the NES library was fairly small so the contenstants would always end up wiht like 4 copies of Wizards and Warriors.

Reboot was one of the coolest CG-animated cartoons ever. It was so quirky, I loved it.

Yep, it's Fox primetime from 8-10, local news, then UPN primetime from 11-1

Regardless, as a kid I was so damn jealous of those kids. I used to wake up at 5 AM for that show followed by captain N and the Gamemasters and then Super Mario Show. Nothing like Mario with rubber bands in his beard.

if i remember correctly, in every episode someone won blaster master.
i have a dvd called "mario's greatest movie moments" and it has a few episodes of the cartoon plus two episodes of the legend of zelda cartoon that was on in place of it on fridays. it's pretty cool, but they edited out the live action segments with captain lou, and i was one sad pisano when i found that out.

I looked it up and Video Power was the name of the show I posted about earlier AND it later became the gameshow you guys are talking about. The 'video games on velcro' in that weird maze was inspired, for it's time anyways.
Just think, the value of those prizes back then was $50 a pop. Today, $.50 each.

Andy Richter controls the Universe definitely had me in stitches. I actually looked forward to the next episode. One show that I find pretty funny now is Arrested Development, but I think it might be canceled. For some reason it doesnt strike me as being one of the top shows being watched on Sunday nights. At first I thought it was stupid just by commercials, but during New Year's Eve they had a mini-marathon and I watched, it is quite funny.

Arrested Development is definitely one of the better shows on TV nowadays. Last episode I found myself yelling at one of the characters because he lied to his son about Heather Graham. And no, I'm not that type of person who yells out during a horror movie, "Don't go in there!" and such.
All the characters are inherently dumb in some way, I just find it hysterical. Its not really a prepackaged sitcom, so some may not like it. It's quite witty when it wants to be, I've never seen a show like it before.
Oh yeah, back on topic now... I just watched Game Over right now, thanks to BitTorrent. Figured since I had to wake up early to drive my brother to school might as well not go back to sleep.
Anyways, I really enjoyed the graphics of the show. Its up to par with Pixar's movies a few years ago. I liked the cameos of video game characters, except there's really no reason that they should be there, except for geek value. The show was somewhat corny (not as corny as Baby Blues, another UPN cartoon, though) and disjointed. The jokes seemed kind of forced... I mean how long has the stereotypical wannabe Eminem persona been out there? It wasn't funny with Malibu's Most Wanted, and its not funny here.
Also, what genre is the daughter from? I wasn't aware there was a protest simulator game. First I thought she was a Lisa Simpson clone, but she whines about guys and is generally self-centered. This show is trying to sell the idea that these characters have their own lives after the game is over, yet that girl doesn't really have a 'life' to begin with. While the other members of the family are fleshed out, it seems like the creators got lazy and just decided to mix Lisa and Meg Griffin together.
*yawn* waking up at 7 during vacation is not cool. What was I saying again, oh yeah, this was all nit-picking, but I will definitely check out the next episode, assuming I remember what time it's on. I just hope it improves from there.

Right, it wouldn't be that cool. "Congratulations! You won 10 copies of Haven!" yayyyyyyyyyyy
But anyways, I totally forgot about that show until just now. I remember it now though, and it was pretty cool as a kid. I remember that they used to give riddles that if you solved them, would help you in a game. I never got the one for Bart vs. Space Mutants involving the statue...
Also, the Tick animated series is my favorite show of all time. The live series was a pale imitation, and completely messed up the Tick character. Greg the Bunny was ok, although it ripped of Married with Children a little too much.

It's called G4. Other than tournament footage, it's absolute garbage. Every show is hosted by somebody who thinks they're cool, but they're really not. Aka they all look like they should be hosting a show on MTV, especially TRL.
I think it's for the people who play games, but aren't "gamers". Sort of the "if your library consists of 5 madden games, watch this station".

evil would you say that x play on techtv is better than most of g4's programming? cause i hate that thats all i have in a form of gaming tv entertainment.
oh and who thought that the show before x play was sooo much better than xplay is now. that corny white haired dude actually would give informative long winded comments on a whole bunch of games in the half hour. Now xplay does like 3 games it seems and fills the rest with inane sketches and corny humor that can showcase the guys jim carey act. the addition of morgan web is ok mainly cause shes hot but also since its good to get the female perspective. They can be entertaining together but it sacrifices the content that was on the previous show. Its sad that a billion dollar industry that has had constant growth over 2 decades can get one half hour show on one station(thats readily available to most cable companies and satellite besides g4). occasionally there is a one time mtv videogame show or videogame awards(spike tv), or tony hawk hosted vid game history show(gameshow network) it seems it could be picking up but its still just sad

how about nick arcade on nickelodeon in early 90's? the kids would actually be in the video game, it was crazy, Andy Ricter and GTB were great, never really watched the Tick. Arrested Development is decent. BTW , FAMILY GUY IS COMING BACK!
