Saw the following today at Best Buy for $4.99
Superman: Shadow of the Apolocalpyse (PS2)
Blowout (PS2)
Total Immersion Racing (PS2)
Ultimate Muscle (GBA)
I know the Ultimate Muscle has already been reported, but I don't think the others have. There were also a bunch of games for $9.99, though I didn't really pay attention to those. Interestingly enough, Superman is NOT on the excluded list for EB trade-ins.

May be YMMV, but I'll check my local store to see if there are deals.

I'm pretty sure that this is nationwide, as there was no mention of a "manager's special", use of an additional price stickers, or anything out of the norm.

Is that Superman game anywhere as bad as the Superman 64 game?

I don't think there's ever been a good Superman game in the history of videogames.

it's not as bad, but it's not very good. average, pretty much.

It's bad, but nowhere near as bad as N64 Superman. It's just tedious. 15 minutes into the game you start asking yourself "Why do I have to punchout thug number #249 when I'm friggin' Superman ?"
The Superman game isn't that bad. It was the first superman game I've played where it was cool just based on the fact that you could do everything that superman could do and manages to pull it off. Like fly all the time, x-ray vision, heat etc etc . If you get into it...it's pretty good. Worth the $5 IMO.

I'm sorry, I know this has been explained somewhere, but I have to ask what these two terms mean:
"IMO"
"Bump"
I have seen them both in these threads and most recently "IMO" in this one. Any help?

"IMO" In my opinion
"Bump" used to bring the topic back to the top of the list, if you don't have anything to add to the thread but just want to draw attention to it again.

Got it. Thanks so much. Seriously, it's been bugging me for days. I've been walking around work all week trying to figure out what IMO could stand for and what bump could mean.
Thanks

Oh yeah, I remember that game. I think I read about it in Gamepro back in the day, and I was thinking of renting it, but I never got to it.
So, there's at least one good Supes game out there then.

I can personally confirm Ultimate Muscle for GBA and Blowout on PS2 in Chicago.
Any word on the XBOX version of Blowout being $4.99 also?
Figures, I just picked up the PS2 version of Blowout for $6 from the Kaybee clearance. Oh well, I guess the extra $1 doesn't make a big difference.
I doubt the Xbox version of blowout will be $5 as well (since it retailed for $20 when it was released), but hey, we could get lucky.

There are no copies of TIR or blowout at the best buy at Jefferson Point in Fort Wayne Indiana. FYI is all so nobody has to waste their time going there for either of those titles.

First time I have seen cheapass games at Best Buy. I went in to get Twin Snakes, was about to leave and saw a "Last Chance" counter.
They had Blowout for $5, and PN03 for $10. Thanks

lol, that game was awesome. charging up your "fireball," kicking/punching and shooting lasers out of your eyes... all done while flying. that brings back memories :)

Some stores haven't updated the shelf tags yet which is good since there's a better chance of the game still being there. In King of Prussia, PA they had Ultimate Muscle tagged $9.99 but at the register it scanned for $4.99

Picked up TIR & Ultimate Muscle in Charlotte, NC.
Both games seem pretty good, I was actually shocked at how good TIR is.

Hah, the Best Buy near me can't seem to get rid of Blowout. Even at $5, they've still got like 6-8 left.

Why doesn't the BBs near me have this deal running. Are they simply not listed as the cheaper price?

yep its not a deal, its a universal drop. so they are probably marked wrong

It doesn't matter what the game is marked, when the cashier scans the game it rings up for $4.99. I'm a Best Buy cashier, so I should probably know.
