One of SCEE better titles, though I'd make sure you check out enough reviews before investing even $5 in this one. Gameplay is very slow, but it apparently has an interesting storyline. Game reviews have Primal around 76%, which isn't bad, but not terribly great, either.

Hudson Leick does the voice work for the lead character if I am not mistaken (Callisto from Xena). I thought she was pretty cool in that role. Worth a 5 spot.

The game is slow to get started, but once you get the ability to change into demons it picks up pace a little. Control is a little mushy, but there aren't really any moments that call for intricate control work so it works out ok.

I played the demo and I didn't like the way it controlled and was too slow for me to want to buy it at CC for $10. However for $5, I may reconsider it.

If only they'd gotten her for the magazine ads instead of the remarkably unattractive woman they used. She looked like a sleep-deprived junkie.

I don't think I remember seeing any of the magazine ads. I remember the TV spot though.
Primal is one of the best games for the PS2. If you like Bloodrayne and Ico you will love this. At $5, how can you NOT buy it ?!

That said: yeah, Primal's a pretty nifty little action-adventure. Little slow for my tastes, but worth a fiver.
