Comes out July 28.

I'll probably just wait for a weekend deal on this one. Or just rent it on console.

As someone that has played through the 360 version, I can tell you that the PC version might end up being the best one to buy.

I wanted to love this game, but its technical problems push you away. The story is great and well-presented, but the lack of ammo and long loading must be the two biggest detractors. Perhaps some usermod's and a high-end PC could make this game fun and genuinely entertaining.

Doesn't gamestop still have this for $20? I got it for that price last week and just beat it. I thought it was awesome on the 360 and would have paid full price if I would have known how good it was.

Yep, I just searched Gamestop's website and it's still on sale for $20. The console versions are anyway. Sold out online though.

Mandatory digital distribution 'meh' goes here.

$35 for the game that was so poorly received it dropped to $20 almost immediately...

Bionic Commando Rearmed was showing up on Steam recently, as well, but it wasn't added to the preorder along with this one. I hope that Capcom and Valve didn't have a SECOND falling-out for getting that game distributed on Steam.

It's 2009. The "digital distribution meh" isn't mandatory anymore.

but the lack of ammo
The scarcity of ammo is not a technical problem. It was an intentional design decision, to force you to rely on the bionic arm for combat.

and long loading must be the two biggest detractors.
The load times are pretty reasonable on the PC version, from what I've played.

I imagine this game'll drop like a rock, so I'll hold out.

I have the PC version and I can confidently say it rocks. Got it for cheap with an amazon giftcard and the keyboard/mouse controls are way better than the console. Just sucks that it's one of those games that doesn't have any graphics options in the game so I have to go into the ati catalyst to manually change them and that doesn't always work for me.
EDIT: But the things that sucked still suck. Added accuracy definitely helps though. Should drop like a rock though.

The one thing about the PC version that really makes me want to kill myself is that it still has the fucking Xbox 360 button icons for all the on-screen prompts, rather than keyboard buttons.

Major let-down, considering how good Capcom's in-house ports have been about this issue. I'm blaming GRIN for this one.

It bothered me too so I just disabled them in the HUD options. They still show up in training menus but not in game. Just make sure you memorize the controls.

I don't see how keyboard and mouse is any better than the dual sticks...

Still, that doesn't change the fact that BC is an aggressively sub-par game. Don't buy it at this price. $20 is still a bit much for it.

Oh jesus christ, Shadowrun does that too. That makes me SO ANGRY! It's a total slap in the face.

Being able to aim lightning-quick is useful for the swinging.

Wait, there are no graphics options for Bionic Commando?

What about the post-death reloading? Is it as unbearable as the console versions, or does the PC version alleviate some of that?

Loading isn't too bad. Better than consoles I think.
And yes, the only graphic option you can change from in game is screen resolution.

I'm usually just as quick with the sticks, but, yeah, now that you mention it, there were several retarded segments in BC that would've been much less annoying if I could spin around to undo my launch faster.
