I made a trade for an xbox live kit and he said he dident get tracking becasue it would be an extra 8$ , but i use ebay to sell ALOT(2-3 times a week) and tracking always cost below 50 cents no matter what I was sending how big or small, he sent priority which makes it 10 cents cheaper to get tracking(39 cents instead of 49), thats why he said he dident get tracking hmm

now I dont know if i should be nervouse about it now, cause I already sent the payment via paypal, and requested tracking 3 different times, and he said he would I even said I would pay a 1$ for tracking (below 50 cents) but now he said he sent it but it would cost 8 dollars so he dident worry about it

Well if he sent Priority then I would give it 3-4 days to ship. After that I would get suspicious. But hey thats just me.

yeah, tracking with priority is only .39. Delivery confirmation requiring a signature is only $1.99. Nothing like that shold be $8.00.

If you print your Priority Mail postage from the USPS website, delivery confirmation is free [I guess that's not the same as tracking, but it's something.]
how much did he charge your for shipping? I have never 'needed' to use the tracking, but if my buyer wanted it I would do it.

Hate to punch holes in your boat, but it sounds like you're about to get hosed...

Sounds like you're getting a raw deal. Tracking is deffinitely $.50 or below usually $.30 in my experience. Delivery conformation is important for trading an I dont think you should do the trade if you cant get it reasonably priced

that would very much suck if i did :(

Delivery Confirmation is not Tracking. USPS does offer tracking on one of there shipment options, and to upgrade to that shipment it may have very well cost $8. Or you're on your way to being hosed.

What planet are you guys from?

Delivery confirmation is .45 cents with priority and .55 with anything else.

Or have I just not been to the post office lately?

Well, everyone agreed with that point if you read the thread.. however I said Tracking is not DC, and to get true tracking it is highly expensive.

I think pretty much you can tack on every service the post office has like delivery confirmation, signature confirmation, return receipt, and $100 insurance and still not have it cost $8.

Ship it Express Mail to get real tracking.. it will cost you something like $30 (or $8ish if you go to your local UPS store).

Are either of you in Canada? I was going to send an item I sold on Ebay to Canada, but they don't offer delivery conf. Instead, I would've had to go Express, which was like $20 instead of $3.
