Kongas? Microphone? !!?? okay, Kongas seem kinda fun. But where are my Light Gun/GunCon and Light Gun games?

What am I gonna do with a microphone? Wave it around like Harry Potter? Bullets better come out of that thing.

A light gun sounds like a good idea.

I'd like to see more light gun games, but it probably won't happen. Light gun games just aren't mainstream, and many companies won't make games that support them. But now that you brought it up, I think I'm going to go get the Super Scope!

You're supposed to use the microphone to become a lounge singer. You know Mi Mi mi!!

Totally. My NES came with 2 controllers, a gun, and Mario/duckhunt (and some people's came with a powerpad or ROB!). Now, what do you get. A controller, and Demodisk IF YOU'RE LUCKY! The NES gun looked awesome too, it was too cool. Sadly, it seems as if this peripheral has been passed over since the Menacer/SuperScope bombed. Here's what they should do, package a gun with the next system, and make quick $20 shooting games for them. People dont want to pay 50 bucks for House of the Dead.

This is Nintendo's way of hinting that your singing would likely cause things to die.

I do, but at the same time, I don't care.

I would love to see another Lightgun game, but Nintendo has desided to stay away from Lightgun game, It seems to have started ever sinces School shooting started poping up in the news.
They want to be a family friendly system and guns aren't that family friendly.

i dunno, nintendo is getting more conservative, i dont think yell make lightgun games anymore

I think having choices available are as important for players. They must realize who has the spending power. Regarding the family friendliness, games rated M are still published after all.

If the trend continues, it looks like Nintendo's next 'peripheral' will be an electric guitar. So you can start your own band at home. (Kongas + Microphone + 'Guitar' = Band) The Guitar will let you switch to Bass, (Everybody now.....ooooOOOaaahH)

My next voting dollars, for the next Next-Gen console, will have a higher consideration. I want choices like the PS2 owners have. 'Nintendo is not my Mommy or Daddy.' <-- ahem...figure of speech.

How cool would a FPS light gun game be? You could control your movement with some kind of pedal for your foot that goes in 8 directions and maybe have crouch/jump/use item buttons on the gun.

There's also no DDR games for the cube, how bout a dance pad by-golly.

And there you go. Nintendo can be the first company to sell a FPS thats uses a guncon-like gun and a ddr pad.

Nintendo parteners with Namco, which then partners with Konami. Pure gold!

That's an awesome idea! Picture this: You standing on an 8-directional DDR type pad, using a GunCon, and wearing an updated Virtual Boy (in 3D full color, and much lighter) The player is fully submerged in another type of home gaming experience.

A light gun for the Gamecube would be cool.

It seems now in the Gamecube's life, Nintendo isn't taking any risks.
Extemely conservative.
The upcoming gamecube release list (besides a FEW decent titles) is poor, IMO.

Alas, poor Gamecube, *strokes GC* the end is nigh.

"People don't want to play games online." Yeah, ok Nintendo.

you mean the baby blue revolver that I got with Lethal Enforcers for the SNES isnt compatible with my GC?

personally, i think they learned their lesson from the Super Scope 6 and are done with light gun accessories.

Mospeada_21

But Super Scope was a Bazooka, that thing was a huge mistake. It looks like at least 2/3 of the current GC Light-Gun thread voting population wants one. Just a Light-Gun, not some piece of military artillery. C'mon....

I think making a modern Light-Gun for the current GC is needed. Maybe 3rd party support.....oh, nevermind. Nintendo's got their blinders on.

Somebody wake them up! Oh yeah, we'll do it with our purchasing dollars next round.

Its not impossible to be succesful with lightgun games. Sony did a great job with both the PS1 and 2 by having Namco make Guncons for them.

yeah i always wondered why some guns have a d-pad on them. the FPS lightgun game is a very good idea, i thought about that a few years back and tried it on alot of my games. a gran theft auto like that could be fun.

This just came to me, but does any have or has anyone played the Starsky and Hutch game for the cube? I know for the other consoles there are segments where you can use a driving wheel and light gun at the sime time. So I checked gamespot and they have light gun listed as a special controller.
