Probably not but sometimes BB does throw in a $10 gift card with new releases like they did with UFC. I also get 45 days to PM at BB with RZ Silver so I'll just end up getting it there anyway. Besides, I want Arkham Asylum in my hands at 10 AM the 25th instead of having to wait for an Amazon shipment to arrive later in the afternoon. Yes, I am very hyped for the game. :D

People always say that, but I don't think it's really true. In fact it's about as far wrong as any label I've seen applied to a game in a generation. Maybe I've been playing it wrong, but I'm on my third playthrough (on Crushing difficulty) and it's a blast. Somehow the idea that it's not replayable got out there and it's stuck for no reason that I can see. It's gorgeous to look at, fun to play, has a very entertaining story that isn't so heavy that it's boring a second time through, a ton of unlockable content, trophies that REQUIRE multiple playthroughs for Platinum, and it's short enough that you can tear through it on repeat plays.

Honestly, what does a game have to do to be "replayable" if Uncharted is so clearly the poster child for lacking replayability? Maybe it's multiplayer no one will play or branching stories that aren't interesting the first time, because no one ever levels the "limited replayability" charge against games like that. Then there's the ridiculous argument that the enemies "soak up bullets" or something. I'm a fair dual analog shooter player at best and that hasn't even been close to a problem for me.

It's a hell of a value at $30 and it'd practically be theft at $20. Though now that the sequel is coming, if you haven't picked it up yet you might want to wait for it to hit $20. why so down man? you got one of the better systems out there with two very awesome games...the slim won't get you anything more than looks.

if they took the emotion cpu chip out to cut costs in the orignal models, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't add it back in after its become a moot point (hell, xbox compatibilty hasn't been updated in over 3 years...)

And yes, Uncharted is hard...however, those types of games are always a struggle for me. Infamous is pretty much a must buy as you won't stop playing it until you've completed it and its super fun (even though its still at full price...)

Sheesh, took them long enough to add Uncharted to the GH list....I bought it 3 months ago giving up on waiting, it's totally my kind of game and it was on my top few to get for a PS3 when I got one a year ago, and I couldn't hold off any longer....whatever, Naughty Dog deserves the extra money, even though I paid $47 on Ebay for it sealed.

I think that assumes that everyone would allow it to sit and collect dust. Peronally, I don't see that happening, but to each their own, some people like to own a good movie, some people like to watch it once, and even if they love it, see no use in owning a copy, different strokes....

I haven't been following this conversation, so forgive me if this has already been mentioned. But it was brought out a month or two ago that Sony had patented a form of software PS2 emulation. If this is true, it is very likely the new slim will have BC provided by software, which would not increase manufacturing costs.

I'd assume so. Difficulties follow as: Easy, Normal, Hard, Crushing for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. You'll enjoy it especially with fun platforming. Finding treasures and completing other tasks (i.e. Kill so many enemies with a certain weapon or perform a melee combo etc.) unlock a lot of bonus features and art. So yes, Correct!
