You'd need to sit reeeeeal close.
Try to find an Olevia series 3, 4, or 5. They're dirt cheap but out of production. 720 though (Least most of them are, I think.)

24 inch is fine for me I have a small room like 15 feet by 15 feet

My only complaint with that Sceptre TV is that it's 1080p.
IMHO, I think that feature is going to be wasted in such a small screen. I suggest that you should save you money and go with a 720p version, pick up a bigger 720p TV, or if 1080p is a must, that you look into a 42" at the very least.
That Vizio display looks like a killer deal. If I had the money I would pounce on that myself.

I've never even heard of that company. Honestly with something like a tv i would just bite the bullet and get something slightly bigger from a more reliable company. You don't want to cheap out on a big purchase like this.

i think that's a great tv for that price. i bought a samsung 22' 720p hdtv for $300 at fry's so you know how bummed out i am after seeing this tv. just get some creative speakers or something (assuming it's a small set up) because those smaller tv speakers suck.

This one has outstanding reviews for $20 more.

Another alternative would be to go with a monitor if you can hook up a PC with a TV Tuner. If you don't have a tuner a tuner + monitor can sometimes be had cheaper than a TV. This monitor has awesome reviews:

I'm not seeing any great deals for tuners right now, but they pop up for $50-$60 all the time.

Even if your room isn't big, I still think you'll have to sit within like 2 feet of that thing.
I'd agree with the other people who say save up some more money and get a larger and better HDTV.

I picked up that Hannspree for my sons laptop a few months ago and it does pretty good with the 360/ps3. The speakers do suck though, I think his laptop has better sound. They sell them at Best Buy also for around $240 + tax.

As many people here are saying, don't rush out and just buy any ol' TV. Save up a little more and purchase a better TV.
Go to some local shops and check out the Vizio TVs, find the one you think has the best picture (the pictures really do vary in Vizio models) and then research the prices online. Vizio TVs are great for the lower price they carry compared to the likes of Samsung or Sony.
I found a Vizio a few years ago (I don't know the model number) at Sam's Club that was a 32" LCD 1080p and was only $650, the Samsung was around $1000. I never got to buy it.

Vizio's had a bad rep years ago but work pretty well now. At least mine still do. Worst comes to worst I would buy the warranty if It's cheap enough. I think a 32 inch LCD warranty for 3 years is $20 through Target.
I got a Plasma though so I got raped on the warranty and don't want to go there lol.

I'd save up a couple more months and get it over a Scepter anyday. You really do get what you pay for.

24 inch Dell monitor, perfect for console and pc gaming and daily surfing. I am pretty sure its in your price range. HDMI, DVI, 1080P resolution, good pick. You can also get a refurb from dell's outlet, it's the second link, it costs 199.99. model number is S2409W

If you go to Walmart.com you can get the 32" version of this same TV for $398. I'm pissed because I bought this in store for $697 last Thursday because I had to have a TV for Friday since we had DirecTV installed on Friday and I wanted to upgrade one of the smaller TVs in my house otherwise I would have gladly jumped on this deal. Suck ass thing is Walmart doesn't price match Walmart.com.
At $697 for 42" it is still a 100 to 150 bucks less than most of the 1080p models I looked at so I'm not that mad.

^Order ship to store?
That takes 7 to 10 business days and I needed it for the next day. Even if you signed up Express Site to Store that takes 3 to 5 business days.
Newegg has this Panasonic 32" for $428.
