Wow -- hmm, what would I do with a 10 buck awesome TV.

Well, I'd order 3 or 4 (I'm assuming a true CAG answer, like 'Step 1. Buy 100, Step 2. ???, Step 3. Profit!', is not the point to this post). My greatest expenditure of money would probably be buying wall mounts for them all (though the 50 dollar deluxe wall mount from Monoprice.com works GREAT).

I'd put one in the basement and one in the master bedroom, replacing the CRT tvs currently there (though the one in the bedroom gets like zero use these days.) I'd want to put one (for 10 bucks) in my kid's room, but not right now (16 month old do not need a tv). I'd put the last one in the toilet room -- Who wouldn't want a HDTV in there?

"Let's put it this way. If you post an ad selling your car on Craigslist for $100 when you meant to put $10,000, are you going to honor the $100 price?" said another commenter at Gizmodo. "How would you feel if people decided to sue you over it?"

Yeah, because $9.99 is sooooooo close to $1799...

I got a kick out of some of the responses of 'irate customers'. If those customers are as 'loyal' to Best Buy as I am(only step foot in there to PM stuff or for penny guides anymore), then Best Buy definitely had the right idea to NOT honor any of those orders.

But just imagine if some of their stores had them in stock and people did in-store pickup. That's what I would've been trying for if I had seen the deal.

lolwut?

Haha, I didn't know it was my T.V. that they made the pricing error on.

Well I suppose I'd buy one for my dad, since he admires mine so much.

I'd also suggest one to each of the 4 people on here asking what HDTV they should get for ~$300.

I'd get a bunch and put them up as siding on my house.

I like how people think companies actually care if they "lose me as a customer".

LOL no shit, especially when the people that think that are more than likely the devil customers the stores would just love to punt.

In regards to this, I would have ordered the max possible. Maybe 1,000 or 10,000 of them, and of course resold them through a variety of outlets. Not that the transaction would ever actually go through.

And of course I would have just walls of them all over the house. Roof test a couple of them. Stick one on a furniture mover and roll it down a steep hill. The possibilities are endless.

I'd sell them to dark slime for $20 and giggle to myself about doubling my monies.

Some of them seemed to for awhile, but once you become a normal nuisance and are constantly writing into corporate about your 'bad experience' at one of their stores, they just ignore ya.

Though it was hilarious when Best Buy sent me a $20 gift card in the mail for complaining when the clerks/manager at my closest store took a bunch of guides off of me at the counter when they came up .00 when scanned.

This was during a $10 off any Prima guide promo like 2 years ago and the guides I brought up were already $9.99 on sale.

Sick part is, another of my local BB stores let me walk out with like 20 guides for free during that sale/promo.

At the last major BBY drop, I got denied guides, called up customer service and bitched, and got a $30 gift card.

You'd put a 52" plasma in the crapper? Damn, you must have a hell of a bathroom.
