View Full Version : Shadow Hearts PS2 worth $60 new?
Someone offered me a brand new copy of Shadow Hearts (the first one) PS2 for $60. Is it worth the asking price?

Amazing game but $60? I guess if it's really hard to find.

I remember when it was free when you preordered Shadow Hearts Covenant...

Yep greatest pre-order bonus ever.
I seriously doubt SH is still worth that kind of money, even sealed. Have you checked EBay/Amazon Marketplace for a comparison?

That seems like a pretty decent price for a sealed copy. It goes for $100+ on Amazon and close to that on eBay, last time I checked. Even the second one in the series, which is a lot more common to find, seems to go for around $50 sealed these days.
I snagged one a few months back for $40, but it was an eBay listing with no pictures and a poorly worded description. I decided to take a gamble on it, ended up being the only bidder, and sure enough, the game was sealed and pristine. :)

Interesting because I bought the original from BBV a lot time ago and liked it enough to get the sequel (which I never got to opening). Never woulda thought they would be selling this high when they were giving the first away for free with a pre order. Good game, but I dunno if its worth that kind of money unless you need to have it.

The popularity of Covenant greatly increased the demand for the original, I think, since it's a direct sequel with some strong story ties (no spoilers :) ).

If you do get it I would keep it sealed...I say this because even though Aruze did the game in Japan, Midway published it in the U.S and Midway is no more. If you have number 2 and played it look at the end of the credits...you'll see my name in the QA section :)

hmm, yeah I picked up a used one for >20... I don't know if 300% market would justify new.
If it is sealed, probably keep it sealed. Price might grow with time.
