I have over 500 games that I have documented in my collection (have them all uploaded to 2 other sites) and kind o want to move them centrally to CAG because I like the forum/blogging system way better.
Anyway, it'll be a pain to re-add 500 games. I was wondering if we could possibly get some multi-add thing where we can add games and each line is a new game. For example:
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance
Shadow Hearts
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Mass Effect (PC)
The system could add games based on the title, and you have the option of being able to specify (in brackets of some sort or something) the system if needed (IE: multiplatform). Obviously, the games exist if they're in the CAG database.
If the game, for whatever reason, is not able to be added. It will provide a red name or a little (X) beside the game name on the next screen, and if it was added the name would be green and/or with a little check mark.
Potentially, if it could also show 3 simple reasons like "Not In Database", "Unknown Game" or "Specify Platform"
It'd make transferring large collections quite easy. I know it may be a feature that would be hard or awkward to code, but no other site I know of is ambitious enough to code soemthing like this so it makes it a pain. Even if there were some minor errors of a game not being able to be read in a mass addition, you could always go manually add it with the single-line system without much hassle (considering how much time you'd be saving).
