I see they said current model will be 299 starting tomorrow but was wondering if that includes the uncharted bundle for 499.99. Would buy that in a second if true as i do not like the looks of that slim model.

I wouldn't count on it, but it'll probably be discounted. Hard to say though.

They were talking about the 80GB since they haven't made the 160's since last fall/winter.
