The 20 yr thing seems to be a bit ridiculous though. Not that he will get that. The story right above it about investment fraud has a person going for 4 yrs and that was for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

up to 20 years....

they never get the full sentence, judges always suspend part (usually the majority of it) and place them on probation. then if they violate probation they give them more of the original sentence plus whatever from the probation violation.
