Check the bottom of the old games bin.
I was digging through the one in Streetsboro, OH to see if I could find any hidden gems, and I just found a crapload of Madden 08 for the PS2.

They likely will never be marked down, I posted this in another thread but my local Walmart has NBA Live 2002 for $52 and 2002 - 2005 other sports games for $20 - $30.

They don't lower them because most WM's go by the publisher's MSRP, which usually bottoms out at $19.99. Store sales and used sales are completely different. Those are set by the company. If a company over-buys items, they usually do sales to try to clear out stock (ex. GameCrazy selling SW Force Unleashed for $14.99 new/$12.99 used on X360/PS3), but WM is a big enough company to not have to clear out stock.

What do they do if they're way over crammed with tons of sports games from years past though? As in stacks and stacks that won't sell? I'm sure they'd want to get rid of those.

I just checked my walmart for things the other day and noticed alot of the old games that never moved any copies got a 50% slash in their bottom price. So it depends on the manager too. With Walmart it's anyone's guess but every once in awhile they will do things to clear out old stock. It's just not as often because Walmart moves so much merchandise and money that it's pretty much unnoticeable that they have all this crap sitting around.
Also, we don't have a bin anymore lol. We did at our old walmart, but our new Super Center was finished a year ago and ever since they moved over, the bin went bye bye lol. It's funny, because all of the games in that bin disappeared too >.> Probably sent to good will stores, or a third world country.

I'm shocked you didn't find any AC/DC trackpacks or GHII/Aerosmith double packs in there.
My Wal-Mart has a ton of both, has them down to $10, and still can't move them! I'd buy the GHII/Aerosmith pack if GHII worked with RB guitars.

Wow, I need to get to my Wal-Mart and check this out. Well, for the AC/DC trackpack. I'm in the same boat with you when it comes to having a RB guitar (and I already have GH:Aerosmith)
But yeah OP, that is ridiculous amount of Madden 08's. Then again, Wal-Mart's gaming is ridiculous in itself. But it's hard to really blame them for the most part. They don't seem to cater to the same crowds as Gamestop/Best Buy/etc. I always see families or parents in there and it's pretty easy to get them to buy stuff. Hell just by browsing with friends, I've easily sold over $1000 of gaming stuff to soccer moms and grandparents.

I got the track pack for $30 with T-Shirt and DVD a while back, so I passed on it but figured I'd let you guys know.
