I've never even heard of the DMC Animated Series. Anyone watch it?

It's terrible. Rent before purchase to see if it's up your alley, but they really did a number on the DMC lore.

I love the DMC games to death, but this anime was pretty terrible.

And it's also only 12 episodes, so when you compare it to other anime on bluray with more episodes that are better received (Samurai 7 for $49.99 for example), it's still not a great price.

Never thought it was possible to make a bad anime out of Devil May Cry, proven wrong pretty much by episode 2.

I heard mixed things about the show, but you also have to consider that as good as the games were, the story was never its strong suit. I do like the whole twin brother angle in 3, but otherwise the story is just fodder for Dante to kill more demons. I mean, anyone else ever wonder about his whole love interest in Trish, even though shes like a clone of his mom?

She isn't a clone, more like a magical creature that was created to look like his mom in order to confuse him. Creepy to have a love interest in but it isn't like they are related by blood. The anime would have been better off just doing an adaption of dmc 3 and if possible throw in dmc 1 to wrap it up, that is really the story of the franchise.

Dante's sidekick is a 10 year old "moe" girl. Let that decide for you.
