In a topic about someone wanting to spend $6000 for a godly pc:
I reiterate: he's a dumbass, he won't take anything prebuilt, and he wants the most expensive **** possible. He won't listen to anyone else.
I am lost at words to describe this. How do you reply to something like this? Your a dumbass for not taking prebuilt? If you don't take prebuilt you are spending the most?? WTF??
Try to avoid sites where the people make Dubya look like Albert Einstein.

While I also post on GameFAQs (4 long years.... almost 5 now), I'm going to have to agree with you and say most of the people there are complete idiots.

All those idiots buy prebuilt. Everyone in the topic was suggesting he buy a prebuilt pc...

I'm surprised he didn't go into a rant like:
Cloud would totally maul any pc you could buy, get a ps2 and every Final Fantasy game.
I visit Gfaqs alot but the forums there are a sad sad place to visit.

I find that the only boards tolerable are the higher user level boards (Elite, Icon, and Idol) but those places are mostly empty.

I go to GameFAQs for FAQs. Period. I've never felt the slightest urge to go into its forums and everything I hear about the conduct there reinforces the decision.

We should all be so lucky that the message board is still up or other wise some of those thousands of idiots might come to these forums. Where would they go? Here I tell you. But not on my watch.

What the hell are you talking about, they always diss prebuilts and want you to eitehr build your own or goto ibuypower.com.... most of the time you just get flamed for posting a topic but seriously you need to get your facts straight.

The forum boards there are filled to the top with fanboys. There's been several very satisfying debates I've taken part in, though. That makes GameFAQs OK in my book.

CAG is a much more intelligent site, on average. I've been spending much more time here than on GameFAQs.
The social boards aren't terrible, though. Current Events and The Forum can be entertaining sometimes. The game and system boards are awful, but at least the social boards are livelier than the ones here...
