c000021a error - need help

My computer gets this fatal blue screen of death error after about an hour with the computer on. I've followed the instructions (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;156669) up to #4, but I don't know where to go from there. Dr. Watson says that:

"Application exception occurred:
App: \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe (pid=620)
When: 8/27/2009 @ 13:09:02.046
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)"

I don't know what to do. Can anyone help out? How do I find out what program pid=620 is?

Looks like something's jacked up your winlogon.exe file. Have you installed anything new recently? If so, I'd try restoring Windows to the last known good configuration. Hit F8 as the comp boots up to get to the boot options menu, then choose to boot Windows into the last good configuration and see how that goes.

Yeah, I had tried that.

It seems to be fixed. Did a virus scan and got rid of it thankfully.
