I know there are a lot of pirated GBA games out there, but how about SFC? I won a few auctions this weekend, but just noticed they were from someone in HK. Check this link out and tell me what you think:

I'm thinking he's okay, but I'm no expert.
Hong Kong has these games, and a lot of people over there sell them on ebay. More than half of the sellers of SFC games are not from the US. You should be okay. I bought five SFC games a while back, and although the shipping took a while, everything was great.
BTW, can you read Japanese? A FF game would be pretty hard to play without reading anything.

Thanks for the opinions. I know he has good feedback, but everyone doesn't know about pirated games...
Thanks Rig. I just needed some reassurance, since I just bought a crapload from this guy. And yes, I know some Japanese and I figure what better way to get better than with RPGs. I already own some and now I'm up to I think 10 SFC RPGs.

Looks real to me. They usually dont come with all those inserts.
I bought a pirated GBA game from ebay. Worked fine, but was clearly fake.
NEVER BUY FROM SINGAPORE!!! They're the pirate capitol of the world.

Yeah the included inserts lead me to think that this is probably legit, but I'm no expert

Thanx for all the reassurance everyone! I've paid for all my games and they have been shipped. Shipping from Asia is killer though!!!

Yah, know the feelling. Ive bought a game from europe, shipping was a beeotch, and took awhile.
I wish I knew some Japanese. All I buy are fighting games that require no reading. I have DBZ Butoden 1 and 2, Sailor Moon (similar to Final Fight), Sailor Moon (Regular Fighting) and one Sailor Moon puzzle game. I'd love to get some weird RPG's.

Just a couple of days ago I saw an ebay auction for bootlegged copies of PS2 Marvel vs. Capcom. And the guy was located in the US. He was selling about 8 copies of it and he even wrote in caps that it was bootlegged. A couple of people even placed bids on them - started at $10 each.
I immediately reported him to ebay though, but it was only a few hours til his auctions ended. I hope they stopped the guy in time.

E-Bay scares me... I try to avoid it completely.

Pylis - eBay isn't scary. Almost everybody selling on eBay are honest people just trying to get rid of their stuff. I tend to bid on stuff that has an actual photo (although people can just steal the pics, I guess) and not the ones with stock photos. And always check out their feedback and look at the items that they have bought.
There are good deals to be made on ebay (not lately though maybe because of the holiday season drawing near :( )
The only thing I would worry about on eBay are DVDs. I tried to look for Eternal Sunshine deals but everything that was cheap came from either HK or Singapore.[/quote]
