Twisted Pixel (http://games.ign.com/objects/142/14252778.html), the crazy group behind the XBLA hits 'Splosion Man and The Maw, has revealed its next project. Judging by the trailer, this one looks to be inspired by the classic SEGA game, Comix Zone. It goes by the name of Comic Jumper (http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/030/030712.html), and it stars a pinheaded hero that has a grumpy star-shaped character stuck on his chest. In traditional super-hero fashion, this hero and his side-kick have a bit of a love-hate relationship.

Sound weird? Well, watch the trailer for yourself and you'll see what we're talking abou

Wow they are pretty quick! I think they should at least fix the multiplayer lag in splosion man first at least.

Hmm...actual voices! Not used to that from them. Still sounds good, though. The talent sounds fitting.

I was sort of hoping for news about a PC release of 'Splosion Man, but this is great, too. Glad to see this studio (apparently) doing well for themselves.

Are they quick with the projects or they just keep multiple projects going behind the scenes? They could be working on the forth game right now.

Anyway it's great to see something else. But after this, and after The Behemoth's Game 3 (which imho should be the title for it at this point) the two studios should have some kind of collaboration OR game that is very similar. I would love for them to have some sort of rivalry although The Behemoth is the smaller but richer squad.

Nice. Twisted Pixel is quickly becoming the Pixar of Xbox live.

They didn't announce this because it'll be out soon, but just because it was as good of a time as ever to reveal it since they're at PAX right now. I imagine some overlap, but they probably don't have enough people to have multiple games being made simultaneously. This one will probably be out by the end of the year or so.

I love Explosion Man's sense of humor and fast gameplay. Here's hoping "Comic Jumper" is more of the same.

Twisted Pixel has revealed about ten minutes of gameplay with a bit of comic-style cutscenes before moving into the action. The story and characters have a lot of potential, but the rest of the game looks a bit rough right now. It doesn't seem like it's coming any time soon since they haven't revealed a release date or quarter yet, so I'm hoping they can work out those kinks and make it look a lot better.

Also, the voice actor for Captain Smiley and Star is Christopher Sabat (Piccolo in DBZ) and he also voiced Maw and Dr. Meatenstein in the other TP games.

That was a great video. I am a little sad I wont be able to play it with my 6 and 4 year old. They loved The Maw and Splosion Man. But I don't need them calling each other dill holes and douchenozzles. But I am definitely in for a day one purchase.
