IGN gave it a 3/10, but a few places gave it 8's. I guess you either love it or hate it.

But like I said before, you could sell jars of urine with the atlus logo on it. If I don't like it, I can sell/trade, but I dunno if $20 for this is good or not considering its got a 90% chance of being disc only.

My luck with ps1 games has been hit and miss. I've gotten some complete. The last batch I got through, none were complete and all were damaged, all are being returned tomorrow.

In store return is very useful, you can lock in the cheaper website price after coupons, go to a store you know has that game either complete or not damaged, and exchange it for the better one.

I'd recommend jumping on Super Puzzle Fighter II if you've been looking for that one... don't expect it to stay around long. That sucka is RARE. A year ago I jumped on a $40 used copy at GameStop because I knew a friend of mine was desperate for a copy. I was lucky enough to get mine for $10 at blockbuster, but that was way back in 1999.

Brigandine is an SRPG, you either love it or hate it. Not much on graphics or story, but tons of depth in gameplay and strategy.

I passed on it myself because of the price.

If it's disc only, then $20 would be about a fair price for it. If it was complete however (including the map), then $20 is a hell of a deal for it. Last time I checked, totally complete copies usually sold for $60 on Ebay and earlier this year, I sold a copy with just the case and disc for $45.

Vanguard Bandits is in my cousin's collection and even though we talk everyday, he's never once mentioned the game. I don't know if that means it's average or that he just never got around to playing it.

I didn't want to pick up Mega Man X3 for it's rarity, I just wanted to play it. It's supposed to be the best in the X series. I have X2, but IMO X and X4 are better games with better presentation.

Most games have little financial value without a case and manual. I sold my Sega Saturn and all my games on Ebay about a year and a half ago and my Magic Knight Rayearth game only went for $23. Where as I sold House of the Dead, which is of lower quality and less rare, for $70 (approx.) because it had a case and manual. If you got lucky, maybe they'd send you the game complete and in mint condition, but you may get screwed and recieve a scratched up disc in a paper sleeve.

$40 is a good deal in itself. However, the buy 1 get 1 free + 10% off make it worth it when theres another $40 game, like there was when I bought this and Chrono Trigger together for around $34. There isn't much today thats expensive... I guess you could get it with Megaman 6 free.

House of the Dead is one of the rarest Saturn games made. There are only like 5000 copies

Yeah, theres always lots of PS1 titles that are around $2 that used to be very very popular. Like Syphon Filter 1 and 2. They really haven't stood the test of time well at all, and it hasn't even been that long. I think games from the 16 bit era stand up a little better today.

Do you guys only buy old school (carts) stuff used from EB. I just got my first order from them and 8 of the 10 games were TOTALLY trashed. I mean ground down plastic in the centers, chewed yes DOG CHEWED cases and scratches were as common as condoms at a hookers convention. I don't know that it is super rare, but complete copies go for around $10-15 on Ebay and I have also seen them for more than that in used game stores. In any case, $4 is a great price for it!

Neat little trick I just discovered while on the phone with electronics boutique after they dumped my cart during check out. It turned out that if you have the item number of what you want to order, you can preorder it and it will ship as soon as a new used item comes in stock.

Now this may seem like a normal backorder to you, but let me remind you that electronics boutique doesn't take back orders on the Web site deliberately -- it won't let you check out with these backorder items. So in other words, I'm literally first in line to get this game when it comes back.

Now who's going to be second :-)

Not to be a wiseass, but EB has this information all ready. Everyone should write to customer service (as I already have) and tell them that you'd like the ability to have out of stock pre-owned games to be searchable and additionally you'd like some way of having them notify you if/when it comes back in for order. You could also mention how it would be nice to see if a local EB had a used game you sought as well.

To actually do any of these things, go here (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/help/ordering/availability.asp) and click on the link on that page that says contact us by e-mail.

If enough of us ask for this type of capability, they may actually do something about it.

EB games may have it, but they won't give it to their employees who take the orders. The fellow I spoke to say he couldn't access the product numbers database himself even for stuff he wanted and the system would only produce the name of the game along with the preorder ability if he knew the product number.

I think more people will be willing to write in, if someone created a form letter to cut and paste into their e-mail that they only had have to sign and hit send for.

Anyone up to writing a bulletproof form letter?

Better yet, with a Web form like what the charity sites use, so that people don't even have to bother to log into their own e-mail to send it for the truly lazy?

I'm surprised I never knew about this . . . I beat the SNES version years ago . . . didn't own a Genesis until recently.
