Getting NFS: Shift, plus if you're a Gamers club member you get an extra 150 reward zone points with the ps3 or 360 version.

The reward zone deal for that game states that it doesn't apply to sale prices. Would they still give the bonus points? It seems like they would.

What I plan on doing is buying it tomorrow and then price matching the sale. Hopefully I'll still get the 150 bonus gamer points.

The gamestop deal is that if you trade in two of the games on the list, you will get Shift for $20.00. You don't pocket anything, so it is just best to trade in the most worthless games (Modern Warfare, Left 4 Dead, Bigs etc.)

personally I haven't done one of these GS trade in deals, but it sounds to me like
"trade in Left 4 Dead ($15) and Bigs 2 ($20) (used those since you have them) at $35 and then give us an additional $20 to get Shift", doesnt sounds like the credit from the trade in will count towards the $20.

basically sounds like you save $5-10 , original $60-($35+20)=GET GAME saving about $5-10

Yeah dude, I was there when the first came out. I don't think there is any way you can consider the original a SIM b/c back then, that genre was barely defined except for racers from Papyrus, like Nascar.

If it was a sim, it was barely sim and abandoned that concept rather quickly with all (what?) 9 titles to follow in the almost 15 years after??

I'm just giving a casual warning for anybody who hasn't had a chance to play it and want to grab it b/c its the next NFS game. Well I did play it. It's like every other sim out there w/ the arrow on the track to guide you through turns, slowing to almost a stop if one wheel gets on the dirt, and the fact that its nauseating when using the cockpit view and also when in that view, the entire screen becomes a gray blur for almost 4 seconds when you hit something...that is all very unlike NFS (first one included)

Pqnet... if it shows both of those under a SOLUTIONS PLUS package you won't get the game price matched as to get the wheel deal you had to get NFSS @ 59.99. It eliminates those terms. If you wanted, you could price match the game still but then have to pay the difference you would now owe from not getting the discount on the wheel.

It's possible BB is just trying to move the title to make room for the holiday ones, driving games along with sports games tend to do well only upon release...then it just sits on the shelf for a long time.

I happened to stop by a Best Buy on release day for Need for Speed: Shift and I swear there were about 100 copies on the shelves. No joke. Maybe they over planned this release. I'd already gotten this game through the Sims card/EA Store deal. I have it for the PS3 and have had no problems with it. Level load times are sub 10 seconds, no jaggies, no tearing, etc. Solid gameplay and it has been very, very fun.

As far as MUA2 goes, it really depends on how much you liked the first one. If you thought it was fun, MUA2 is pretty much the same with better characters but blander locales and boss fights. Toward the end of the story mode in this one they just pile boss fights on top of boss fights and the end battle is not nearly as rewarding as last time around. But the graphics are improved and the fusions are fun and destructive. Like I said, if you really liked the first one and just couldn't wait any longer for another game like it, it's worth picking up. If you were kind of casual about the first title but thought the fighting mechanics got old quickly, this one is going to be a snooze.
