No free shipping.
Metroid Prime 2 and Mario Tennis are still also only $39.99.
I believe $34.99 will be the cheapest it goes. Hop on this QUICK before it goes.

Not as fast as you'd like. If you want it right after release date, pay full price somewhere.

Nice, another game to have on backorder at outpost for a couple months=-)

Outpost.com standard shipping is DHL ground.
Their backorder/pre-order policy is pretty ugly, since it took 3-4 days for SH4 to get it shipped out the door at Outpost once it was released out to the general public.
I'm betting it would be the same for the other games they have on pre-order. KUF will be the real test, since the date has slipped a couple of times and is listed as 10/12/04. When you do ask them on a date for something on pre-order/back-order, they're dumb as rocks and say "we don't have any date and we won't know until it ships".

Anyone know if extra shipping will be applied for each shipment, or will the items I order together ship when all are available if I place an order for pre-order games? I want to get Metroid and Paper Mario, but I can't seem to find the policy on shipping pre-orders. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!

I ended up ordering two games that were in-stock (not pre-orders) and two pre-orders from Outpost, all on a single order. They authorized my card for the full amount for the purchase, and then when they shipped the order, the authorization dropped off and the purchase price of the two non-preorder games + the full shipping charge hit my card. When my first pre-order finally shipped, they charged my card in a second transaction for the purchase price of the pre-order game and no additional shipping charge. When my other pre-order ships, I expect them to do the same, purchase price of the game only.
I have a different order with them for three pre-orders, so I expect the first of the order to be billed to my card for purchase price of whatever game(s) ship, and the full shipping charge on the first shipment.

Shrike- how long did your order take to arrive? Wondering if its worth ordering PM, or just pick it up at EB.

Well just as a suggestion, why dont you buy paper mario in the TRU sale at the end of october? I would come out to be a lower price then buying it online and having to pay shipping on top of the wait.

I preordered Fable through outpost and here is my timeline.
I ordered on 9/7
The game was released on 9/14
My order was shipped on 9/16
I got it on 9/21. -I live in Denver
( I used the free ground shipping)
I don't mind waiting a week to save 20%-30%.

I hope this Outpost.com price means Fry's will be selling it for $34.99 as well.

the shipping charge absolutely kills this deal for me :(
I don't understand why they insist on using DHL ground for ~$9 for 2 games when they can use the USPS and spend $3.85 for 2 games and have it arrive as fast if not faster than DHL ground.
grrrrrr

still about $40 with shipping, so it's hardly a steal

I didn't buy the guide because the coupon says that it isn't valid with any other deals and I had a $10 voucher I used on Paper Mario 2.

Actually, if you want to get technical..
Outpost.. we'll say, for the sake of argument, 40 is the total.
EB, total if 50, +15 for the guide. Around here, tax is 9.75%, the game would come to 54.86 plus 15. But you get the voucher. So the total would be 54.86.
Buying the strategy guide after buying Outpost.com's copy for $34.99 would yield MAYBE a two dollar difference, depending on where you live..
And besides that, I wouldn't want to pay $75, only to get $15 back at a later time in the form of a voucher, so Outpost.com's deal appeals more to me. Too bad I don't have a GC.

SH4 showed up about a week after it was in stores, and shipped a couple of days after it was available in-store.
The thing I've done is to order more than one game from them, and the shipping charge isn't as bad, split up between three games in the case of my order.
Not as good as free, but it's a little easier to deal with.
