View Full Version : MK : CE Delayed?!? n/m, Gamestop guy is Clueless

I preordered it from Gamestop and now I just got word that its delayed. The guy said something about problems with Midway's manufacturing and don't know when it'll be out. Can anyone else confirm this? If you pre-ordered the collector's edition, you might wanna call the place you placed the order at.


Edit : I just called Ebgames and the girl said they won't have it til tonite or tomorrow, becuz they(probably midway) forgot to put something in the package. The girl told me most places won't have it til tomorrow, I hope she's right.

Edit #2 : Ok I just called another Gamestop and the girl said they would probably get it tomorrow, so the guy at the other Gamestop was apparently clueless.

I called my Gamestop now and the dude say it's out tomorrow and it wasn't delayed by his words, it's just out tomorrow.

The CE version is delayed until tomorrow, but the regular version is out at some retailers now. Most people have found the regular version at GameStop or Walmart. I dunno anyone whose found it (either version) at EB, Target, GameCrazy, or GameRush today.

How was the game nixts?This game got a 5/10 from XBN, so I'm probally not going to get it unless several reliable mags and websites give it good review scores. It seems like it is a big dissapointment. :(

I wish I could tell you, that isn't my copy. Waiting on mine until tomorrow, but I know people who have it. The only real gripe I've heard about it has been the AI. The combo system is less forgiving, and the difficulty level of the boss is ridiculous.

Geez, tried to get my copy at Gamestop today but the guy now says they will get it tomorrow. So I said screw Gamestop and asked for my money back which I pre-paid in full. Went to EBgames and bought the collector's edition(ps2) there instead.

Im waiting to pick my copy up but ign did state "Best Mortal Kombat ever...in a word, yes." So if you like mk pick it up. The review from ign was pretty good as well i think it was like 8.9

Looks like XBN *snickers at the magazine's reliability* sucks.

EB near me got theirs at around 1 today.

From what I hear the person who reviewed it in XBN flat out said they didn't like dialed combo fighters or something to that effect, so I would take the entire review and score with a grain of salt from them

Midway flubbed up some CE's. My EB got five PS2 copies, three were reserved and two were put out to public, and two XBox ones, both on hold.

It's soooooo shiny.. I must have teh shiny tomorrow! :P

I didn't see a PS2 version at my store, only Xbox.


I think I may rent it this weekend, even though I have been playing Deadly Alliance like every day for the past week and I am starting to get bored with it.

BTW, they are fairly limited, they have serial numbers.

Yeah, I was really surprised by that. This game is VERY awesome. I think the guy was just biased.

No, I used CheapAssCredit to get it at GR and would not want to pay full price at another retailer.
