It has pretty good scores over at gamerankings.com. I'll probally order this.
Yeah, only EGM (1UP) gave it a bad score (6.5). It got good scores from everyone else as far as I can see. :)

I got this game a while back, I didn't like the camera controls. The story was really good, some of the gameplay mechanics are pretty interesting. It was frustrating fighting with the camera and I disliked the respawning guards and alert levels. Gamerush is giving just $20 for it.

This game is normally $40, btw. $20 seems about what GameRush would give for a $40 game.
But the main problem with the game is the camera?

It's a Free Radical game (TimeSplitters), but they've never done a 3rd person game. I'll pick it up when it drops to $20. (And I worship TimeSplitters, BTW.)

Any other opinions from people who have played the game. I'm thinking about getting this, but I'm just not sure. :?
Also, does anyone know how many blocks that this game takes up on the GameCube? I'm not sure if I'm going to get a bigger memory card yet.

Did anyone else preorder this game and was supposed to get a bonus item (can't remember what it was though)? That happened to me so I called. They said they would overnight ship the bonus item. That was about 2 weeks ago and still nothing.

I played it through and thought it was a lot better than psi-ops. Once you get through the physics in psi-ops you would realize that the gameplay is pretty lame (and quite unbalanced toward the last half). Second sight should be more accuratly labled as MGS + Psi-ops + splinter cell + timesplitter + perfect dark + XIII + hitman, etc. The developer sure crammed lots of gameplay styles into this game. Anyway I beat it in 6 hours, and I say it's worth a rental. It got problems but the gameplay is still very fun though mostly easy.

I haven't played Psi-Op's but the Telekinesis in this game takes some getting use to. Story isn't bad but the ending pissed me off. I just expected more to it. Maybe I'm being picky, I don't know.
Also I agree with EGM on the Telekinesis point. A sight instead of a lock-on at some points would've been more helpful in using it, like how "Psi-Ops" uses crosshairs.

Well... $20 wasn't bad. I was hoping that it was $25. Since a $49.99 game starts off at $35 I figured a linear drop from $39.99 to $25. Since I traded it in a week after I got it. I struggled with tight quarters in the game, the camera would look straight down when my back was too close to the wall. To straighten the camera I used the lock on feature to get behind me. The static room camera was useless if there were enemy coming from another room. They'd stand in the door way shooting and you wouldn't see them at all. The collision detection on the game was pretty poor, sometimes I'd be standing in a box that was walked into. Overall the game was easy since they give you the ability to heal yourself using your always regenerating powers. It's just annoying to explore an area and take out all the guards, leave and realize you need to get something, then all the guards are back. I found it lacked something... the powers and weapons couldn't be used together, the interaction became tedious and it's was ridiculous to go around slapping the guards to death as they rip into you with their machine guns. Do you have OXM or know someone that does? I'd really recommend trying the demo first. It is one of the levels in the game. It will give you a good feel for the gameplay.

Ditto, I'm still waiting for gamestop to give me the bonus disc, contacted them twice and it is still sitting in my account as "prerelease" and I'm getting quite sick of it.

Price applies to all 3 versions. I believe this is a universal price drop for the game. All I can say is man what a quick price drop.

damn man, the game isn't even a month old. It must have been selling like total crap. I played the demo and didn't like it, even though it got decent reviews. Psi Ops is so much better.

Whoa, 2 peeps already wrote about guards re-spawning? That's not a good sign. This game doesn't even sound good at $15, based on what others have wrote.
Time to go back to TimeSplitters 2 (no pun intended), XIII, or Red Faction II.

Its actually pretty decent. Have you played it? I think its suffering because its exactly the same game as Psi-Ops, which only posted modest sales figures in the first place. Anyway, price drops rarely have anything to do with actual game quality, e.g. Beyond good and evil, Rogue Ops, almost any six-month old sports title, etc.

ok, sports game don't even have a place in a comparison like this because on release day you know it has like a 3-4 month shelf life at full price, if even that long.
Some great games do get overlooked but damn this has to be somthing with it sucking!!!

Price drop on this one are probably attributed to stores and distributors trying to move the title and make room for mor Nov & Dec releases -- I expect Jan & Feb will be Cheap Ass Heaven!!!
