Loved the remake!

It showed up in my goldbox for $9.49. It's $9.99 for the preorder, which is released on 9/29.

Too bad the Friday the 13th remake wasn't as good as this was. The same studio did both, right?

Platinum Dunes did both, yeah. I have to agree with you on that. F13 reboot was terrible.

My WM keeps putting it up with a (2003) tag but it's the original one. Probably the same at yours.

F13 was a mixed bag for me. I both liked and disliked them turning Jason into a Leatherface clone (having his own secret lair). But even the underground tunnels reeked a little too much of House of 1000 Corpses or The Hills Have Eyes 2 remake. They spent too little time on the camp, and too much on surrounding areas (like a mix of Friday 3 and 4). If they do a sequel, I really hope it's kinda like a mix of Friday 1 and 2, restoring the camp and the new batch of counselors getting axed up. For me, Friday movies were the best when they dealt with Camp Crystal Lake. I don't care about towns, halfway houses, Manhattan, or outer space. The charm of the movies was always the campground and the woods.
