Just got an e-mail that there was an "unexpected delay" shipping Brutal Legend, and now its backordered until they get more inventory (my other pre-orders are 2010 games). Hmmmm... Might just pick it up in-store tomorrow then, and maybe try to use the online copy as a placeholder if it ever comes.

Yesterday, I put it my order for Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2, and Bayonetta. I just got an email stating that they are in the process of shipping Brutal Legend, and I got another email stating that Uncharted 2 is on back order. I just checked my order and everything seems to be correct—Bayonetta is on hold until its release date.

Well, it sounds like everyone else's BL has shipped though - I only placed my order this afternoon, so I expect they were fulfilling orders first-come-first-serve and have legitimately run out of stock. If they have it in store tomorrow when I go to pick up uncharted, I can just cancel the online order, and if not, I can wait and see what happens with it. I'm not dying to play BL anyway, not with Uncharted coming out tomorrow - I can wait a week or so if need be :)

I also ordered early sunday...then cancelled my order, and reordered the exact same thing yesterday. Now all my crap is backordered...fml?

I guess I'll try to get to the store and get the same thing I ordered online, then when my online order arrives I'll return it, or just cancel it if I still can.

I had ordered Bioshock 2 and Uncharted 2 as my two paid for games with Brutal Legend for free.. I also received an e-mail about the backorder status on Uncharted 2, but Brutal Legend shipped.. what's interesting is that the invoice says:

Sub-Total: $.00 Shipping: $0.00
Sales Tax: $8.55
Order Total: $8.55

How does that work out? I'm kind of worried they will charge me the tax again (8.55 is the tax for the full set of games..) when they ship uncharted and again when they ship Bioshock 2...

Anyone else see this or have dealt with this in the past?

the website VERY clearly labeled many pre-orders as part of the deal.

the only way you would know they weren't part of the deal is if you read the fine print, or are a CAG'r type who knew the rules upfront.

had i simply stumbled upon their website one day, I would have pre-ordered games coming out next year w/o a second thought.

It seems that every person on this thread has ordered Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend so I guess I will keep my fingers crossed that I receive my games sometime before Christmas.

I think my BL shipped, or atleast it says to expect it by Thursday. Bollocks about Uncharted 2 though, that really sucks. I hope they get it out, or maybe ill just get it tommorow and return it when I get it :/

Oh and I ordered at 4:44 PM on Sunday. BL is PS3 version.

anyone noticing orders with pre-orders disappearing? I got a confirmation email about Bayonetta and Bioshock 2 being placed for order, but no validation for the free game on my invoice "prototype" being received. When I go to look in my account orders the order number doesn't even show up for me to cancel under account info. This is weird because the order I placed 5 minutes later was received and the free game "Wolverine" is shown as being ready to ship tomorrow.

Before everyone goes " well thats what you get blah blah blah" I place these orders Sunday before they took the sale off the games...if there is any issues I'll just contact customer service and if they can't help I'll call my credit card company. Plus if they cancelled it I'll go match it at Best Buy tomorrow for Demon Souls , Fallout Goty and Prototpye

I'm not worried just wondering if anyone else's orders are vanishing or not showing up. I know toys r us.com is acting really wonky and slow for the last couple days...

In case nobody has seen yet, it appears that TRU finally caught their pre-order glitch online and have finally taken those games off the B2G1 free sale.

Luckily for me, I got MAG, Bioshock 2, and Brutal Legend ordered. Brutal Legend was free and shipped. I dare them to cancel the other two games and charge me full price for Brutal Legend. Maybe next time they'll have somebody look at a calender before the go online with their deal.

I enjoy the way that I (and several other people) have had our brutal legend and uncharted orders backordered, yet their website says that both games are available for shipping... I'm very upset with this and will probably never order from toys r us again.

So here is my question - from their website, I ordered Uncharted, Brutal Legend, and Beatles Rock Band with Beatles being my free game. If I were to rebuy Uncharted, Brutal Legend and Dead Space Extraction from a store today, could I exchange the games from my online order for a different set of games when they arrive in a few weeks?

If so, I'll just treat the online order as a placeholder for two other games.

If not I will go the safe route and get the game from TRU store and just return it when I get my online order but I'd rather not deal with TRU anymore this year, so if BB route is good I would prefer that way.

well ive read through this thread the pages 100 -till now

and it seems that every other person ordered uncharted- there was this one guy who was into exchanging things on ebay n he ordered 9 copies i beleive-other people ordered 2- trying to keep 1 as a place holder-and it seems 1/3 of people are getting theirs-so i can see how uncharted might be back ordered. n this isnt counting people who pre ordered in store.

i dont think that their canceling our orders or we would have gotten the cancelation notice-instead were getting notices that its out of stock and will be delivered when they get them.

people are getting their uncharted 2 and brutal legend.

also it seems stupid that they would cancel all these orders(not saying they wont but seems unlikely) ive been reading this thread every day since sun morning and it seems that at least 40 of us took advantage of preordering two 2010 games with one game out on release this week-and a lot more people tried without luck after they pulled it down.

each order placed was about $115 (not counting gift cards)

$115 times 10=1,150
$1,150 times 4=4,600

thats about 4,600 dollars on pre orders they would have to cancel-not counting other people who arent on this thread. plus the work of having to go through each order and weed out the orders they have to cancel.

one of the games i ordered was dark void for the simple fact i could get it for $40 will i buy it for $60 no thats i game i can wait for, rent or goozex, but for $40 im there.

just checked out toys r us website and if u click on uncharted 2 or brutal legend they do indeed come up as backordered.

but for those thinking of going to the actual store there is a
FIND IT IN STORES under the add to cart--there you put in you zip code and it tells you if your nearest toys r us has it-- in my case they have
uncharted 2 and brutal legend for both systems as in stock.

fall out game of the year actually comes out as not in stock (temperarily not available) not backordered like u2 and brutal legend also you cant use the find in store option as it says THIS ITEM DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN CHECK STORE FEATURE.

hope that helps any1 thinking of going sooner or later.

Is it possible to just get any game that's worth $60 and then bringing it over to BB and asking for store credit? That way you can just get U2 or BL over there, or holding on to the credit until the game you want comes out.

Under every pre-order that worked it clearly had the 'B2G1' label.

I'm sorry, but I don't generally look at the front page of a store website, ever, except for the menu bar/search box. In the case of TRU, I went straight to PS3, list all, and under the box art of games that were B2G1 they have B2G1** in red text.

It's a game sale at a major store, so I don't bother reading the fine print - it's pretty straightforward. Click, click, find games, look at the price, decide.

So again, while it's nice and all that you read the advertisements, I don't. If I didn't find the sale through here, I would have took the games listed in red directly underneath as qualifying at face value and figured they did, in fact, qualify.

If it's labeled underneath, and works in the cart, there is really no reason to expect it doesn't work unless you noticed the fine print.

That said, all my games are released the 13th or before. And backordered.

Just got back from TRU. Used all my giftcard and picked up Uncharted (x2) and Brutal Legend. When I got there none of the employees knew what the hell I was talking about when asking about either game. Took them a good 20min to actual locate both games. Glad I am done with that store for good now.

They want you to come into the store most likely and then possibly buy something else in the process... or they expect huge demand and the inventory system wont keep up, and piss people off.

Erg... I had Uncharted 2 preordered at Best Buy, and with the Fallout 3 GOTY drama at TRU, I figured I'd just pricematch at Best Buy.

Best Buy in Auburn Hills, MI did price match for me, but they didn't have any Fallout 3 GOTYs in, nor any Demon's Souls, so I ended up getting Uncharted 2 (which they only had about 8 copies of, all reserved for preorders), MGS 4 for $30 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma for free. Still, I was hoping to get Fallout 3 GOTY out of this one way or another.

If I'm feeling particularly like spending money, I could go back to TRU by the end of the week and see if they have Fallout 3 GOTY in yet. If so, I could do Folklore, Fallout 3, and then Disgea 3 for free. Or, maybe the 360 Capcom Platinum hits 3-pack for free (does TRU carry this?).

Made it to TRU 15 minutes after they opened, grabbed 2 copies of Uncharted (1 filler) and Brutal Legend. The guy in front of me in line asks the cashier if they have any more Uncharted & Brutal Legend, she goes "Sorry all sold out!" I tell the guy "Actually there's about 5 more of each on the shelf. I'll show you!"
Needless to say cashier lady was pissed and wouldn't let me buy 2 Uncharted's, and just as she tells me that another employee walks by and goes "Just pick up something else for $60, come back in a couple days and swap it out for Uncharted" so I grabbed NFS: Shift as filler :)

As I'm leaving I hear the cashier yelling at both the guy that told me to get filler and someone in the back for not taking the Uncharted and Brutal's off the shelf lol!Heh... you gotta love the employees that go around innocently undermining the authority of the top dogs.

I just got back, they didnt have Fallout 3 GOTY, and the dude had no idea what it was. I ended up getting NHL 10 and 2 copies of Uncharted 2. I went to best buy and got Fallout there, they only had one copy and also they were not matching the deal at mine. Probably going to put my copies of Uncharted up for sale.

I just got back. My TRU had Brutal Legend, but no Uncharted 2 and I was the only customer in the store. I went to the Bestbuy across the street and they DID pricematch. This is the Framingham, MA store for anyone interested. I got Fallout3 GOTY, Little Big planet GOTY, and Uncharted 2. Used my rewards cash, and I'm a happy camper.

Just got back from TRU. Picked up Brutal Legend (360), Uncharted 2, and Madden 10 (360). I haven't decided yet whether Madden will end up as a place-holder for Ratchet or MW2. I do want Madden, but it's getting pretty close on my Goozex queue, where I have over 8,000 points just sitting there.

Anyway, back on point- I went to the Auburn MA store, got there right when they opened. A guy in front of me bought 3 copies of Uncharted 2. After mine there were about 8 copies left. The TRU employee said that was all they had, and there were about as many Brutal Legends left. Also, no Fallout GOTY or Saw or Demon's Souls for anyone interested in those titles.

Just got back from my TRU. They had both Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2. I wound up snagging Uncharted 2, NBA 2K10, and Little Big Planet GOTY.

I'm glad I have a PS3 again though. Most people in this town have an Xbox, so their games are usually picked clean. They had no copies of 2K10 for the 360 in. The PS3 game section though has an excellent selection.

Just got back from the Times Square store, I picked up:

Uncharted 2 (PS3) $60
Brutal Legend (360) free
Wii Fit Plus w/board $100

So basically I figure I paid full price for the two regular games and got a %60 discount on Wii Fit Plus, which will never go on sale :)

Then I cancelled my online order for BL, Mafia II and Bayonetta - they'd backordered BL, and I don't need two copies. It was my free game in the online order, so I'd probably have had trouble trying to exchange it for something else, especially when the other games in the order were for 2010. Sad to miss out on the deal for the 2010 games, but I don't wanna have to be worrying about it for the next 3 months either, and I'm sure best buy and amazon will run decent pre-sale offers for 'em.

Also at the Times Square store they were saying that BL for PS3 was $65, while for the 360 it was $60 (neither had a tag on the rack, so i can't confirm). I think the prices can vary from store-to-store though.

More then I wanted to spend, but I had a $10 off 50 coupon and didn't fell like paying for gum to get my order lower. I want a Fifa game, 09 was fun. But the selection at mine was horrible. I really wanted L4D, but neither TRU near me had the GOTY edition, so it seemed not to be worth my time. Even though I know I can wait until Christmas and find it for $20.

The Best Buy I go to did not want to price match the Buy 2 get 1 free deal. I asked if they would price match the price. No go again. He went to the back to ask the kid manager both times. Then he came out and told me he could not do the price matches, but that he could give me 10% off each game. He really thought I would bite, too.

Went to Toys R Us and got Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, and Nba2k10. I figure I will get tired of both Brutal Legend and Nba2k10 in the near future and trade them in towards Demon's Souls which is the game I really wanted but only Best Buy had it.

as of now im thinking of maybe just buying 3 new games keeping them sealed until left 4 d2 and codmw2 come out and trade all 3 for two copies of mw2 and 1 copy of l4d2. if they say no ill just happily return all 3 for my money back.

It comes out 60/60/0. And thats pretty much exactly my plan if no one bites on these copies of uncharted before hand. I want to play NHL but I'm betting that Fallout will keep me busy for a month.

For those of you who used a placeholder, you must use the original receipt for the exchange. A gift receipt will only allow you to exchange for the amount after discounts.

EX: I bought Resistance for 29.99, but on my receipt (after b2g1 and coupons) showed 24.99. I went in with the gift receipt and the register wanted to charge me the extra 4.99 to even exchange for another 29.99 game.

I told them I also have my original receipt and they were able to even exchange for another 29.99 game with no problems.

I swung by the Gaithersburg, MD Toys R Us when they opened and grabbed Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend (360), and Halo 3: ODST.

The surprising thing is that the Gaithersburg, MD store only received 12 copies of Uncharted, and I and two other guys grabbed three of those twelve copies within 5 minutes of the store being open. The girl at the counter commented that they'd probably run out very quickly.

Sounds like somebody may have SORELY underestimated the interest in Uncharted 2, especially during this B2G1 Free deal. Unless they're getting new stock in daily, you may find yourself S.O.L. if you're going to the Toys R Us in Gaithersburg to get Uncharted 2.

I wake up now to check the online inventory and find the Portland area stores don't have Brutal Legend stocked yet. I'm not sure if they usually check them into the system right before the store opens in the morning, or the evening before, but I think I'm just going to wait and see if I can find the titles I intended to get with the ToysRUs placeholders at a $40 price point. There's just nothing avail I really want for the 1 free game.

I'd recommend the reviews. It's part RTS, part Dynasty Warriors, part God of War combat, part Racing. And all of the parts are fun (if a bit simplified).

Try out the demo if you want a taste of the combat and racing. As the game progresses you gain an army.

It's also a Tim Schaffer game (Psychonauts, Grim Fandango, Monkey Island). So it's funny, well written, and well presented.

It also has Jack Black, and whether you like him or not, he's pretty much perfect as a heavy metal roadie (guys who work back stage) who gets and Axe and starts chopping demons with it in some alternate dimension heavy metal landscape.

Just came back from there. Uncharted 2 was going fast, but they still had some left. Brutal was moving okay, but not like Uncharted 2.

Uncharted 2 was ringing as $65 this morning at Times Square and I heard a few people complaining. I was gonna get two copies (one for a friend) but that kind of messed with the economics of the deal. Anyways by the time I was done and ready to pay, they were changing Uncharted 2 to $60 and ONE PER CUSTOMER. So anyone going to Times Square hoping to get a few, unless they change the policy this afternoon, its only one per customer down there right now. At open there were people just taking up 3 copies of it. Also Brutal Legend PS3 is $65 but 360 is $60 (omg TRU is teh BIAS)

Sounds like they are really enforcing no placeholders at Times Square as well. The guy told me, you can do placeholders for any game this week only. And you have to bring back all 3 sealed. For example NBA 2K10 was sold out, so some people were getting a game to switch out for it when they would hopefully get it in stock later this week.

I DID however go next door to Best Buy and picked up Burnout Paradise for the 360 along with 2 Motionpluses for $25 after price match and a $15 gift card from price matching Scribblenauts over there.

Seriously though. I have a $30 Batman giftcard to burn at TRU and I don't want lose out on this offer. But that would suck to get stuck with games I can't swap out later for other high profile games (I'm looking at you MW2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii).

just an update, i bought 2k10 a week ago and went into TRU today to see if I could return it to do the B2G1F, the lady had no problem and let me grab Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legends for 64.19 :D TRU in clarksville indiana was down to about 4 uncharted 2s and 3 brutal legends. They also had several Magna Carta 2s i may go back and grab magna carta 2 and 2 other games for placeholder purposes, also has anyone asked for a gift receipt on one of their 60.00 games yet? May make using a title for placeholder a little easier if you have a gift receipt.

Arrived at Toys R Us at opening. No one walking in looked like they were going to try and buy multiple copies of Uncharted 2, so I strolled over to the action figure aisles first, as I usually do, got what I needed and then went over to the R Zone. They had stacks of new releases on the counter, so I just pointed and said, "I'd like that, that, and that." Just as the girl was about to ring me up, she had second thoughts and said that she needed to make sure they weren't reserved copies. So about 25 minutes later someone came over and said only two needed to be put aside. Two out of about the 20 that were on the counter. It didn't matter. I didn't have anywhere to go or anything to do and in the end, I got my games, but it was a slightly unnecessary hassle. Ended up with Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, and Dirt 2.

Fallout 3 GOTY isnt in the Toysrus around here. I went to BB and PM'ed Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2 and Fallout 3 GOTY. While I was there I looked at the guides section for some reason and saw a sign. They are offering a free guide for anyone buying Fallout 3. The CE was something like half off and if you bought another guide you could get the Fallout 3 guide for free. This was the Brandon, FL BB and as always is YMMV.

That was for the DS package thing. The * was next to the by two get one free and * says "Free/discounted item must be equal or lesser value". And the ** next to the DS package is the one that says the can't exchange blah blah.

In fact if you go look at the ad on ToysRUs.com you can click on each separate deal and a window will pop up with the restrictions in. Buy 2 get one free doesn't say anything about no exchanges or returns.

I would think if you're returning an unopened game and exchanging it straight up for a game of the same value, there shouldn't be a problem. If I decide to use the Madden 10 I picked up as a placeholder, I plan on using my regular receipt.

as nowhere is this restriction seen on the video game b2g1 free only for the ds bundle.

Do best buys generally price match these deals? I know my simi valley best buy is hit or miss depending on who you talk to. Sometimes they don't even need a keyholder to verify it as it just goes through automatically.

I'm desperately trying to find out the answer to this lol!!! Well at least for Hawthrone, CA location.

I just picked up Uncharted 2, Batman:AA, and MUA2 for 83 bucks after trading in COD:WAW and Prototype. Niiiceeeeeee!

Note: they didn't have Brutal Legend in stock yet, and this was at the Flatbush Avenue TRU in Brooklyn NY. They had Uncharted 2 behind the counter, and not on the rack. I am probably going to keep Batman sealed and return it for Ratchet and Clank in 2 weeks. I can just borrow my cousin's copy when he is done with it in a few weeks, anyway. The gift receipts just have all 3 games listed on 1 sheet. Any other questions I will be glad to answer when I check back.

I just went to my local Toys R Us near Elmira, N.Y., and got Brutal Legend, NBA Live 10 and Uncharted 2. I used the $10 coupon I got in the mail as well. So things went as I had planned, outside of them needing to grab Uncharted 2 out of the back for me. No sign of Fallout 3 GOTY, Demon's Souls or Operation: Flashpoint, a game that somewhat intrigues me. Of course, I didn't ask if any of those were in the back.

Picked up two Uncharted 2's and 1 NFS: Shift. Plan on exchanging NFS for Borderlands next week and keeping the two UC2 for me and a friend. I asked the guy at the register what would happen if say my friend didn't want the second copy of UC2 just to see what he would say about an exchange. He said just bring in your receipt (or gift receipt) and they would do it no problem. He even printed me 3 different receipts for each game just in case. Said I had 45 days to return any of the games.

If you go into your order tracking in your account, there should be a big Cancel Order button - easy peasy.

Just got back from lunch break grabbed 1 of 4 copies of UC2. Also grabbed BL (about 8 copies) and Wet. Holding Wet and hoping to swap it for Borderlands next week, otherwise very happy with my purchase.

^^ no you can't mix accessories and games.. either all games or all accessories.

Wow... TRU basically has nothing in stock. I went in to get Uncharted 2 but they didn't have Brutal Legend or Fallout 3 GotY.

So I had to get ODST, in hopes that I can swap it out later (for Brutal Legend or F3 GotY) and Prime Trilogy as my freebie.

Time Sq TRU suck balls man. Okay, i respect that Uncharted 2 is limited to one per customer, but man, i was with my friend and both of us want a copy of U2. No, they can't do two U2 on one transaction. Okay, i'm cool with that, so i grabbed BL for the PS3 and BL for the Xbox, just one copy of U2. Guess what? BL for PS3 is $64.99! What in the world?!?! Needless to say, i dropped the games and walked out... I believe there's another dude did the same.

It was completely painless for me, yes. I had my whole order back ordered which just wasn't acceptable so I cancelled my online order AFTER going to Toys R Us B&M to make sure I got what I wanted.

Oh and everyone remember that any Toys R Us is taking your used games!! Just take your working games (they can be scratched as long as it works) to the service desk and they'll give you an instant TRU gift card for them. They have pretty reasonable prices for trade ins, nothing spectacular but I saved 34.00 on my B2G1 deal by taking in 5 games.

You can check online for the prices you'll receive for your games. It's very comparable to Amazons prices.

yea the Best Buy right down the road from me wouldn't but the one that was only ~1/2 mile away from the local TRU price matched no problem but I did go to customer service instead of dealing with the cashiers

Just got back from a Toys R Us run during lunch. I picked up Brutal of course, as well as Overlord 2, and had them put Guitar Hero 5 on a gift receipt. I was hoping to get Magnacarta 2, but apparently Toys R Us won't have it until the 15th.

A friend of mine; however, called his local Best Buy. The one in Altoona, PA WILL honor the buy two get one deal. They even have Magna, so he's getting it as one of his three, and we're going to pay forty bucks per game to make it even. Probably going to keep the Toys R Us gift receipt for Borderlands next week, maybe Tekken 6 if they don't get that, either.

Just came back from NYC Times Square TRU. They have a lot of Uncharted 2 behind the desk, but you can only buy 1 (tried to buy 2, 1 for my nephew). Anyway, walked out with U2, Brutal Legend and Batman AA. Not bad, but do wish they have Demons Soul instead.

You dont have an account? Not sure what you mean there. If you mean you're having any problems cancelling your online order, you should have the email with your order number. Copy that order number (you may have to leave off the "-0" at the end of that number. I had to anyway or it didn't find my order). Go to toys r us website. Bottom left of the main page in small print it says "track my order". Click that and paste your order number in the box, then your zip code. It should then take you to the option to cancel your order.

Wow I just rocked that sale. The BestBuy pricematched B2G1Free with Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend and Fallout3 GotY. I asked for the $10 gift card for Brutal Legend with my Rzcard but they said they could only do one deal. I also just picked up Demon's Souls from craigslist from some guy that said it was too hard. I went to my local TRU at 11:30 today on lunch and got UC2 (only 3 were left), BL on 360 (only a handful of PS3 versions left but a bunch left for 360) and NBA2K. Good deal. Not worried about trading one back in later for something else because I wanted all 3 games. However, I would have gotten Demon Souls over NBA if they carried it.

I really went nuts over the past 2 days PMing at Best Buy. Yesterday, I walked up to the service desk with 3 1600 point Live cards and just told them I was pricematching with TRU. The guy just asked me what the deal was and rang it up, no ad or proof needed even though I had pulled up on my iPhone ready for him to ask.
Then, today I picked up UC2, BL and the Wii Sports Resort w/ 2 Wii MotionPlus and the PS3 headset for $20 off. Then, on another transaction I picked up DeadSpace, RE4 Wii and Ninja Gaiden Sigma PS3 for $40. This deal, along with my closing GameCrazy sales make me feel like an alcoholic that's off the wagon. All told, my savings at Best Buy alone are $120 over the two days, and I spent around $200 overall (with burning my gift cards). I'm ready for a long winter!!

So, I preordered Uncharted and went in at 10:30 this morning... I ask for 2 other games and Uncharted... The girl tells me they are sold out of Uncharted... I say, "oh, I have a preorder" and she says, "we forgot to set aside copies for the preorders and we just sold our last copy."

WTF... what the hell is a preorder good for?!?!? Debating on how I should proceed... if I should talk to the manager or not... They say they may get more in today.. but I doubt it. If they don't get anymore by the time this sale is over, I will be pissed.

Picked up Brutal legend, Halo 3 ODST, and Marvel ultimate Alliance 2 this morning. I would have picked up Uncharted 2 but I secured that at Fry's for $50 out of fear that TRU would run out. All in all, excellent deal and I might go later this week for Katamari Forever, NBA 2K10, and something else I haven't thought of yet :)

Went in at lunch and found both UC2 and BL (360) sitting on top of the counter. Grabbed both along with a copy of ODST that I hope to exchange next week for Borderlands. I spoke with the manager in the area and he said there would be no problem as long as ODST was not opened.

... and I have to agree with some of the posters above - don't grab two copies of UC2/BL if you don't need the extra. Just pick up something that shouldn't drop in price anytime soon (ex. ODST).

This is some crap. I went to my local Toys R Us in Houston (Clear Lake) and a group of people came in and bought 3 copies of new releases (i.e. Uncharted 2), so by lunch time, they were already out of Uncharted 2 and Fallout 3 GOTY. Really hope they put a limit 1 per title on the next sale, this is lame.

But Madden 10 is a place holder for fallout 3 GOTY which they said they might be getting later.
So excited! Unfortunatly i am still only 92% done with the first uncharted so I have to finish that before I start Uncharted 2!

Does anyone remember from last year if they ran this promotion twice? I thought they ran it again sometime around Black Friday? I picked up Left 4 Dead during this promotion last year - so that had to be late November. I just don't know if they ran it in October too. Although reports say it'll be another weak Christmas season for retailers - so lots of incentives will be thrown our way for us to buy, buy, buy!

I'm wondering because there's a few games I want that I know will be dropping in price and I have some games that will tide me over until late November when I'll just pick up a batch.

Not everyone does that just to resell. Some of us are only interested in one game, but have friends that are also interested in that same game. I was planning on getting 3 copies of Uncharted 2, one for myself, and 2 for friends who I would play online, but alas, TRU online orders are backordered until who knows when, and the TRU's in NYC all limit the game to one per customer. None of us are willing to pay the $60+ retail, so we'll all just wait for the game to go down (maybe a month) and buy it then, or get a used copy. We're not tryin to be "douches", we're just being cheap ass gamers. Hence why I'm here...

Went to the TRU in St Peters MO looking for Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, and Fallout3 GOTY. They didn't have Fallout 3 GOTY. I asked if I could have a copy of their ad and they said they don't give them out.

I went across the street to BB and picked up all 3 games, went to the register and told the cashier we called earlier and was told they would PM the sale (we did, but have no idea who we talked to). She called someone over who I guess was a manager. He said is this a PM for the TRU sale, so she said yes. He said no problem, told the cashier how to ring it up (they just zeroed out one of the games), and told her that she could probably expect a lot of this because TRU doesn't get a lot of the games so everyone will come there to match it.

I had never PM'd anything at this BB before, so I was pleasantly surprised with the experience.
