My old pro finally went RROD on me last night, and it's well out of warranty so I'll need to pick up a new one. I was hoping to find one of the Resident Evil ones kicking around but haven't had much luck yet, has anyone seen any in or around Calgary?

Question: How come you're eager to find a RE5 Bundle?

Answer: Because I want one.

Why would you want such a hideous-looking Xbox?

Because it's uniquely hideous.

I'd personally just get an arcade and use your Pro's HDD or get the MW2 one that actually looks kinda cool.

You see, I was going to recommend something similar, but since he gave me a smart-ass answer, I gave him a smart-ass reply...if he said he was interested in getting a Jasper, or was fond of the colour scheme (for some odd reason), or really wanted RE5, I would've been more inclined to help out.

You can check around to various Source locations, I've seen a couple kicking around those places.

You only got a smart ass answer because of your smart ass question. I like the colour, features, and the jasper, but I don't really see what my motivations have to do with anything.

I think an arcade's my best bet. The MW2 one is cool, but I don't really want to spend $400 on it, and I definitely don't need 250 gigs.

Good luck finding one, buddy. I'll go play Halo 3 on my non-RROD'd Arcade Xbox 360 that's half the price and 99% less ugly-looking.

Thanks, they were the only retailer I didn't get to, I'll check them out today.

Hey it's the least I could do.

Jack-assery aside, the new Elite bundles are available, and are priced at $299 (on Future Shop, at least) and come with Pure and LEGO Batman, with a 120GB HD. If you don't have any luck finding an RE5 bundle, you could look at getting one of those Holiday Bundles, and either sell the 120GB that comes with it for at least $100, or sell your current HD (about $40-$50 for a 20GB, and $60-$70 for a 60GB). If you're happy with your current HD, selling the 120GB for $100 is your best bet. Brings the cost of the system down to $199.99 plus tax, with two half-decent games, which you can also sell.

If you're looking for a bit more cash, some people buy RROD'd Xbox's with the hopes of fixing them. Remember the RROD warranty is three years, not the standard 1-year, so maybe it's still possible to get'r fixed. I hope this was somewhat more helpful, and sorry for a being a dick earlier. Cheers.

edit: you could also do the same thing with the Halo 3/Network Adapter Bundle; sell the 120GB HD for $100, network adapter for $50, Halo 3 for $20; total system cost is $329.99, so you'd be looking at less than $200 for just the system; although all these options are more expensive than the Xbox 360 Arcade that was on sale for $149 not too long ago, I realize.

Thank you, I was thinking of going that route, depending on what I could find. Apparently EBs new deal is trade 3 and get an elite bundle for $249 (although no-one seems to be sure if it's the Lego/Pure bundle or the Halo 3 one), so I think I'll do that and sell off various pieces, I just wanted to see if I could find an RE5 one first (Although it looks like even if I do they may still ring in at the old $399 price, which is definitely don't worth it)

It seems Best Buy has the Halo 3 bundle with Prince of Persia and The Darkness included, all for $329.99! That's a pretty great deal IMO, and if you aren't interested in any of those games, you can trade them in for a T3 at EB!

That's not a bad deal; I have/have had all of those games, but it could help with the trades. I think I'm just going to go to EB though, aside from that T3 deal I have a few others (some under $8) I can get rid off, to get it under $200.

Might not be any help, but EB Games St-Hubert (Jean Talon , Montreal) has many Red Elite left.

Ask around at EB, they might still have stock hidden somewhere.
