I figured this was gonna happen right after I traded for the game. Mind ya, trading a penny guide for a game was still a decent deal, but the game is glitchy and only worth about $20.

glitchy?? Like where? I've seen far many more games that are glitchy, Ghostbusters was not that bad. I'm sure you'll say it was with the controls or the proton pack or how you had to 'wrangle' ghosts down, but come on, this is the first time anyone has ever nailed the proton pack and trapping ghosts experience. I wouldn't call those elements glitchy, as they were executed rather well. Repetitive? Yes. glitchy? No. And don't say its glitchy b/c the lips didn't sink up on voice-overs during cutscenes, either, b/c that is weak sauce, I'm sure it got rushed out the door and they didn't polish this up, its not that noticeable. It's still a great game for a great story line and nice little run through.

Tempting... but $40 for a 12 hour game is still a bit steep

Actually, I like everything about the game, except for the fact that I've had to go into the multiplayer menu EVERY time I've wanted to start playing the game again to get my friggin' game save to load. It's a pain in the ass and a hassle to have to do that EVERY time I want to play from where I left off.
Of course, the fact that they don't tell you WHEN the game is saving, so you don't have to possibly redo a TON of stuff, is annoying too.
They're not deal breakers by any means, but they are ANNOYING and the reason I haven't gone back to the game since I stopped playing it early last week.

Gamestop online also has the 360/PS3 price dropped to $40. Wii at $30.

I agree the price for this game is still too steep. I just got it from Gamefly last night. If it werent for the fact that it had Ghostbusters attached and played the theme, I would be returning it already. Not a glitchy game, but not well polished either. Bill Murray sounds like he was just woken from a coma when he reads his lines...
Fun game, but if anyone wants to buy wait for it to go to $20 or less.

I dunno I didn't enjoy this that much. I was really hyped up for it, and still played it for a week straight so I guess I didn't hate it. But I expected alot more, and I didn't find the multiplayer that great.

FYI for anyone who cares. I've played the demo on both systems, and couldn't see these magical graphic differences people were talking about. It looks fine, but isn't stunning looking or anything from what I could tell. I had an easier time capturing the ghosts at the end of the demo on the Xbox version, but that might just be because I'd already played through it once before, not sure.
Still a game I want to play, but now I'm kind of hoping it hits cheaper. (Maybe had it launched at $40...)

oh you mean the particle effects from shooting the proton pack? and the sizziling / charred effects when said proton beam hits a wall? I've seen many a youtube video pointing this out, look closer...PS3 version is gimped (as usually always happens to the PS3 even though it is surperior to the 360 (graphics-wise))

I don't know about usually always, seems like there's tons that go either way. Anyway my point was if there really is a difference, it's so non-obvious that I couldn't tell, having played both versions. I even looked for the supposedly-better-looking char damage in the Xbox version and didn't see it. Neither version is all that great looking. I mean they're fine, that shouldn't dissuade anyone from getting it, but it's not that great by today's standards (at least among high-end games)

I think maybe he meant it wasn't that noticeable during gameplay. A lot of times you can find differences if you pause and look at a screen, or examine individual details, but they don't show up during play. Having said that, yes, I agree the screen shots and videos do seem to make it fairly obvious, but I haven't actually played it on both systems.

Yeah, and I've seen the videos/screenshots, but don't actually see that in the real games. Don't know what's up with that.

I'm going to echo everyone else. The Wii and PS3/360 game are great. I can't speak for the DS game though- haven't played it.

im thinking about buying the wii version as well (own the ps3).. are the gameplay differences enough to be worth it?

Fun game, but kind of short. One of the bosses is ridiculous on hard. (The one with the portal things.) I traded mine off, but definitely will be buying it again when it drops to $20 or less.

the game is pretty different. For one, it's 2 players.
There are a lot more puzzles. For example, in the hotel level, the elevators and doors are controlled by big battery powered units. The ghosts have removed the batteries and you have to place them back in the slots. The problem is that the batteries have been drained too. You have to hit some electric ghosts with the dead batteries to recharge them (and discharge the ghosts).
The trapping is different too. It's a wagglefest.
I played through the PS3 version of the game first, and only 2 maps into the Wii version. I enjoyed the experience, but mostly as a way to see what 2 different groups did with the same source material. It was interesting.

Funny that they still haven't sold off the "Amazon Slimer Edition".
Good price for a surprisingly great game!

Only the Wii version have split screen, from what I recall. Not worth more than $20 for me. Was why I skipped the slimer edition.
Nice information though.
