Question, is the 2 Year Replacement Plan for $19.99 even worth adding to this?
The reason I ask is after owning a couple of Xbox 360's in our household and sending them back a few times it's made me weary about not adding some type of extended warranty to new hardware purchases.

Yes,it is worth it. I had my original PS3 yellow light on me and the repair charge is $150. Go with the warranty.

How do you know which ones they are? There's a list I am assuming?
Just search for a list of playable ps1 games. The 30 bucks for a 3 year warranty is a good deal. If I was buying, I would get that warranty.

Hell yes it is, my 40gb Blu Ray drive just bit the dust and I have to pay $150 to get it replaced.
Well worth it. $20 isn't much for the peace of mind if it does happen, you're covered.

I guess I'm gonna pick up Little Big Planet. Do I need the game of the year edition or would I be wiser picking up a cheaper original copy?

I almost bought one of the 80GB models with an extra controller at my local TRU store, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $300 plus after taxes. Around $250 sounds a bit more reasonable. . .

I'd just get GOTY, then sell the modnations racer beta on ebay. The DLC included is well worth it. Also go ahead and snag one of those free norse pack codes if they're still up. If not shoot me a PM I think I have a couple more.

Was going to wait around and get a deal on a slim but dang...with the Sony card $50 cashback, $200 bucks for a new ps3 and an extra ds3... had to bite. Arguably even a better deal than the previous Sony $100 rewards deal.
Might just sell the extra ds3 if not needed to make the deal stupid cheap, $160-ish, muawahah. Heck, that's less than a DSi !

Or you could go to Consoleshop.com and get a new BR drive assembly for $90 and save $60 on the repair costs.
This deal is decent though, since a new PS3 comes with a year warranty and during that warranty period the console is shipped out and shipped back for FREE.

in my experience sonystyle is pretty quick with delivery. but their DC is in CA so if you're on the East Coast expect 5-7 business days.

I got in on this too on Tuesday (10/13). Bad news though. I got an e-mail saying my controller shipped on 10/14, but the PS3 still had a ship date of 10/13, even as of today. I e-mailed them this morning and they wrote back saying that they canceled the order because the PS3 is out of stock (80gb) and discontinued. But they let me keep the controller because it already shipped. Now what am I supposed to do with a controller and no PS3? I would prefer it if they gave me the same discount on a new slim, or give me an extra $50 off the 160gb because $100 more isn't worth it for a $30 game and a $40 hdd.
Good luck to anyone else who ordered one, but unless it shipped already, I wouldn't count on getting it. They really should have better inventory control if they ran out.
Update: It still shows the 80gb as being available so I placed another order. Let's see if I get it this time, or at the very least another free controller. If I get another controller I'll probably consider it enough to convince me to buy a slim for full price, but not from Sonystyle obviously.
I just got an email saying my order for the PS3 system was canceled, although they have already shipped the extra PS3 controller at price of $0.00, so it looks like I'm getting a free controller regardless. I'm not too bummed since I'm getting a free controller, which I was planning selling off anyway and given my choice, I'd rather have a slim but the price on the fat was too tempting but I'm sure there will be some good deals on slims in the next few weeks
