So I've finally got a chance to pickup another backwards compatible PS3 at a reasonable price. The guy wanted less first but checked ebay and bumped up his price accordingly.
I am planning on buying a slim down the line as my 'main' machine but I want something to play upscaled PS2 games real bad. There are still a lot of PS2 games I want to get through. I used to have a 60 gig (and LOVED IT) but sold it because I got real broke for a while.
Also, if this machine shits the bed can I send it in to SONY for the $150 flat fee to fix it? I like the idea of having a machine that can play all PS legacy games that I can send back to SONY around the end of the PS3's life cycle to get everything put into perfect order before I retire it when PS4 comes out.
