I use Grisofts AVG as my resident scanner, along with Fix-It Utilities for weekly scan, and Trend-Micro's free online scanner once a week or so.
AVG is free, FixIt Utilites updates are free, and TM is free as well.
I've been using AVG for years.
Never heard of Panda Titanium.

AVG is the choice here as well, can't beat the price!

Then you are doing something wrong. Check your configuration, updates and your internet habits.
I've been using AVG FREE and have never had a problem I didn't bring on myself.

Agreed...if you are a cheapass AVG is the way to go. It's caught every virus that tried to sneak on my machine and has protected me for about 2 years now.
Keep 'er up -to-date and you'll be fine!

Exactly.
Even the best virus scanner is only an addendum to the core rules of virus protection:
* Never download something [web or email] unless you know what it is, and whom it's from.
* Scan files before you run them.
I will agree, you must update your virus scanner, be it AVG, Norton, anything else. I update mine at least once every couple days. And none is perfect, you shouldn't rely on just one.
That said, in about 7 years of hardcore computing, the only virus I've gotten has been from a friend of mine sending me an email saying 'is this a virus?' [it was.] And I've been using AVG most of that time.

I use AVG and Avast simultaneously, although it was pretty tough configuring them to work together.

I used to use AVG, which worked well for me. Right now I'm running Norton.

I used to use Norton, but now I just go bareback through the internet.

I'm using Norton Sysworks 2k5, and occasionally mix it up by scanning with the House Call website.

Computer Associate's EZ Antivirus. Its free to RoadRunner users, and it seems to work pretty well. It may be worth checking with your ISP, because a number of them now offer free or discounted antivirus software. Its cheaper for them to offer free software than have to deal with customers who have hacked PCs sending out a bajillion spam emails...

I like ZenOK Free Antivirus (http://freeantivirus.zenok.com/url)...it is very silent but also deadly...I dont need any crack or anything. I have a website bookmarked...which updates the latest serials for it.

I've used AVG for years now and still no issues. I also run Malwarebytes every other week including the AVG scan. If your looking to pay for a virus software my suggestion is ESET Nod32.
