just wondering. i have dishnetwork btw. i already have a dvr but i would like to be able to record straight to the ps3 hdd

why would you want to do that? DishNetwork has the best DVR I have ever used. The software/interface/etc is excellent.

Well, Europe does have PlayTV (http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/hardware/accessories/detail/item102429/PlayTV%E2%84%A2/). I doubt we'll get anything like this in the US though.

Yes, Europe has that feature a year or two ago... I don't think we ever going to see it in the US, unless there are hefty charges for it.

The only thing I think you can do like this is to get Is tv tuner for your pc and stream it.
